One of the horses I rode as a kid on my uncle’s ranch was ‘persnickety’ about his hooves, and was a dainty stepper… Pablo was the ONLY person on the ranch that horse would let inspect his hooves, or re-shoe him. Anybody else, it was Katy bar the door!!!
My cousin Lizzie would love that. She has a small ranch up in the Sierras and has horses.
Never seen that before! We used to take our rope horses to the beach to swim them in the surf to exercise them. They loved it, and so did we! Thanks for reminding me of fun times in college.

We had some horses from Arizona that had never seen a running stream. The first efforts to get them to ford a stream turned into an impromptu rodeo.

My grandpa & I encountered that once upon a long time ago. It was the only time I ever saw him get mad at an animal. 🙂
