That’s weird…

Anybody else noticing a drop off in visits???  I’m seeing about a 400 visit drop in the last week or so… That’s about a quarter of my daily visitors…

I’m wondering if I pissed people off that badly…

  1. I tell ya NFO , its a talent !! 😛

Seriously though i have no idea , even I dont read my blog .

  2. Well, SiteMeter has been pissing me off mightily of late and I’m beginning to NOT trust them after almost eight years of using their product. SM’s stats and Blogger’s stats are ALWAYS in wild disagreement.

    So there’s that.

  3. I lost that many over the holiday weekend, but this week I’ve been trucking right along. Perhaps some of yours came over to my place? If so, I’ll send them back . . .

    😉

  4. People outside more, vacations, etc. I haven’t been hitting the blogs as much myself lately.

  5. Likewise. Well, I know I piss people off, but don’t think that’s it. I use statcounter and it’s been down in recent weeks. (And it’s not that high to start!) Vacations, and I think more and more folks are blocking the loading of scripts that track. I have however, seen my RSS feed stats go up, so maybe more folks are using RSS. (Which ain’t dead despite google’s claims.)

  6. There has been a drop i n mine too, about the same size. I was also figuring people gone on vacation. Mostly liberals….LOL

  7. I’d say you weren’t pissing me off enough…

  8. You poor thing…! Let’s see if my calculations are correct, a quarter drop off in my blog visitors count would put it in the neighborhood of oh… -3

  9. I blame Summer in general. Not that I get that many visitors, anyway.
The two important things for me are 1)If anyone bothers, its a good thing, and 2)I blog for ME – when I start worrying about who or how many I’ll quit!

  10. My traffic’s off about 25%; I figured it’s because I’m not posting much original content these days. Also, it’s summer.

  11. I dropped Sitemeter completely a couple weeks back – it had become entirely unrealiable (zero visits for several days).

Statcounter and Google statistics seem to be working normally.

    Looking forward to tomorrow!

  12. I haven’t slowed down. I hit you 2-3-4 times a day. You always have something important/useful/pertinent to share. Don’t stop.
I was at the Abq VA the other day, and checked out how far it is from the cafeteria to the ER. It’s well under the claimed 500 yards. Without actually pacing it off, I’d guesstimate <200 yards, unless you go around the parking lot and buildings.

  13. Mine’s about the same, only because my blood relatives go on vacation in January. Post photos of yourself – that’ll drive the traffic back up!

  14. Mine is a steady 4-6 visits a day.
Except the spammers are hitting the old posts heavy constantly for a couple weeks now.

  15. My traffic bounces all over the place. I dropped SiteMeter a long time ago, it’s stats were as useful and as accurate as those put out by the Feds concerning unemployment.

I think the SpamBots in Russia all go on vacation in July.

  16. Here in Arizona, which is closer to the sun than Mercury, it’s just too danged hot to go out much. Even on the internet.

  17. All- Thanks, so it’s not just me… 🙂 I would dump sitemeter, but I have no idea what to use.

Roger- Yep, as a matter of fact…

Posted from my iPhone, somewhere in South Georgia…

  18. If I wrote anything worthwhile, I’d worry about who read it.

Seriously, I haven’t been hitting the blogs as much as usual.
    Summertime.

  19. Per blogger, my traffic is up to around 70-100 per day. Probably get 10 a day from your sidebar and 7 a day from Stephen’s sidebar.

  20. I use Statcounter and converted the comments section to Disqus a long time ago. Both count accurately.

  21. I visit pretty daily. I also use the list on your sidebar as a very convenient way to get to all the other blogs I read. Kind of like a favorites list.

  22. I’m betting summer has a lot to do with it.

And if you are pissing off that many people, you must be doing something right.

Either that or the NSA doesn’t see you as a threat anymore.
