Okay, I’m done…

morning after 3

Finished the first draft of The Grey Man- Changes last night…

Now comes the ‘fun’ part (yeah, right)… Editing…

Just shoot me now!

Thanks to those I’ve bugged for technical support, questions, and what ifs…

Now I’m going to actually read it (scary thought isn’t it), and get it out to the alpha readers, probably early next week.

Once I get that feedback, and make all those corrections, it will be off to the professional editor for a month or so.

Then it will go to the beta readers, and another round of editing.

Preliminary discussions are underway for the cover, and it will be as good as both of the previous ย ones! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m thinking it will probably be a June release, if I can get my act together.

Thanks to all of you who’ve purchased, read and reviewed the two previous books. Hopefully this one will meet your expectations too!

  1. Glad to hear you’re done with it! I know the joys of editing… give yourself a break if you can before re-reading.

  2. Writing is fun.

    Editing is work.

And you can edit forever and still find things that you could have “fixed” because of hindsight.

  3. I had intended to read Gray Man the Second around the end of last year and do a review, but that did not work out as planned. (You know…life, and all.) Now as it began to appear I’d have time to actually do so, I realized it had been quite some time since I’d read Gray Man the First. So I re-read it.

I can now pay GM I one of my highest literary compliments…it held up, and held up well, to a second reading. And that is far from the case for most books I’ve re-read, even the ones I initially enjoyed very much. Now, on to GM II and that review.

    Keep up the good work.

  4. LL- Ain’t THAT the truth!

Ed- LOL, glutton for punishment over here… sigh

GR6- Thank you sir. I do appreciate the good words!

  5. I used to despise editing.
Now, it’s just another part of writing.

  6. From the snippets you’ve posted this is going to be another great story.

  7. Excellent. While the editing process can be a drag, we’re all looking forward to reading the finished product.

  8. Keads- Thanks!

    Frank- Tryin’… ๐Ÿ™‚

Aaron- That’s a POLITE word for it… sigh

  9. I am just dying to get this for my bookshelf (after I read it, of course.).

I can tell you that the story is continued very well and I found myself laughing at one moment and then it would get dusty in here.

No spoilers. This stuff is too good for spoilers.
