Meh…

It looks like I only had three missing books from the ones I sent out last week. If you were expecting a copy of TGM- Changes and haven’t seen it yet, please shoot me an email. It seems like I inevitably have a couple go missing every time I ship…

The first reviews are trending positive, and the book is selling faster than both earlier ones did.  There for a few days, I was up in the 19,000 range, sadly I’m now back in the bottom of the barrel… BUT

recommended books

I think I’m in pretty damn good company… Page 2 of the customers who bought pages was Marko’s books, and Larry’s books! 🙂

Once again, thanks to the Alpha and Beta readers, and my ‘technical consultants’… Without y’all and outstanding covers, it wouldn’t have gone anywhere.

And I’m working on #4, but I’m going to do my best to get it right! I don’t want to rush and put a bad book out there. Too many of y’all would hunt me down and kick my ass!!!

  1. Kick your ass? Never. Cleaning pad eyes with a spoon during an Adak winter, possibly. Heh, been there, seen that! Glad I didn’t get caught too! 🙂

  2. The scene is a small bookstore in a shady part of town. The door opens and a customer furtively slips into the shop. The oversize hoodie almost covers his features as he pretends to look around the bookstore, and finally the only other customer leaves. The hoodie customer walks to the clerk and whispers, “I’m hurting man, whatcha got for me?” The clerk leans closer and says, “Got some fresh Correia and some Ringo that just came in today.” The customer looks anguished and says, “No man, they just aren’t doing for me anymore.” The clerk lowers his voice even more and says in a barely audible whisper, “I got an ARC of The Grey Man Four by Curtis, if you think you can handle it.” Seconds later and after a large cash transfer the hoodied customer is leaving the shop and mumbling, “Mine, all mine, now I have the Precious.”

The real wonder of time travel will be when you can write, edit, rewrite, correct typos and publish, and have the book in your public’s hands before you announce that you are thinking of writing the book.

Not only looking forward to number four, but looking forward to that scifi novel you mentioned a while ago, and let’s face it, anything that you write.

  3. Glad to hear Changes is doing so well, my friend. And may it all go as easily as sliding across a parking lot in the Adak winter wind. 🙂

  4. HH- Will do! THANKS!

    John- Hilarious!

Rev- I’m still amazed that people are willing to spend money to buy something I wrote!

  5. We’re counting on you to get #4 right. Just because you’re moving doesn’t mean that we can’t reach out and leave you messages. Not that we’d dream of doing such a thing, we know you’ll be armed 100% of the time in your new digs. And just cranky enough to squeeze off a few rounds just to keep us youngsters off the lawn.

  6. So, I’ve been out of touch for a few weeks(including way too many roads up and down VA and WV) and am now in Ohio, instead of Denver. Probably until December. Do you want me to go through the Magic Book Store, or would you rather I send you a check and the Ohio address?
