There Was A Giant Mass Shooting NOBODY’S Talking About, Care To Guess Why?

For the past week, the media has obsessed over the shooting in Colorado Springs near a Planned Parenthood, and while our attention was drawn to that, another mass shooting occurred. The victim count was huge, but nobody seems to be talking about it, and it’s not hard to see why.
Some may have heard about the shooting that occurred in Louisiana last week, when gunmen opened fire at a park with some 300 people in it and injured 17 people, but for the most part, there’s been silence from the media about it. According to the New Orleans Advocate, the Bunny Park shooting was an act of “domestic terrorism,” Mayor Mitch Landrieu said, and it was committed in cold-blood by several gunmen, one of which has been apprehended, but there’s several reasons the media may be ignoring it.
The Times-Picayune reports that 32-year-old Joseph “Moe” Allen was arrested on Sunday in relation to the incident, and he’s been charged with 17 counts of attempted first-degree murder. You would think that with the number of victims, the youngest being 10, and the majority of whom were under 21, and the heartless nature of the incident, the media would be all over it, but you would think wrong.
But you see, Allen is a black thug with a criminal record a mile long, so his violent acts don’t fit into the current narrative that white conservative Christians are the largest threat to our nation. Plus, being a convicted felon, he shouldn’t have even had a gun to begin with. The law forbidding him from owning one didn’t work, and he was also a part of the catch and release program for violent thugs.
Now you see why this one has been overlooked? Heavily reporting this story would mean having to admit that more gun control wouldn’t be effective, and it would also mean having to bring attention to the problem with systemic violence in the black community. Plus, reporting it would highlight the dangers of letting violent criminals back on the streets after shortening their prison terms, none of which the liberal media would willingly do, especially when there’s a juicy story about a white man a couple of states over.

I was out of town when this happened but it just underscores how bad the police situation is in New Orleans. The police are no longer a deterrent to crime. But this happened in the upper 9th ward – an area that the MSM would have you think was an idyllic community of poor black folks after Katrina. What is worse are the shootings that are happening on Canal Street and Bourbon Street during normal working hours. I never go into New Orleans anymore unless I’m armed.

Yep. I read some coverage of that, but they poo pooed it as domestic issue and not politically motivated. Therefore, it didn’t fit the news agenda. As so I read and watched before something else captivated my attention. But I might be “Trumping” it and seeing things. 😉
We saw the on-screen notices about the NO shooting on the day it happened, but nothing since. I guess it didn’t fit the MSM narrative. Like others said (above), their decision-making is skewed to the point of nonsensical.
Even if the MSM were to report this thing in New Orleans, you can bet your last dollar that Mullah Obama would have nothing to spout endlessly about it. As he did not when Katie Steinle was killed in San Francisco last summer. And even if he did have something to say about it, he would blame it on climate change, or President Bush, or some other totally nonsensical unrelated thing, as he nearly always does. And, it goes without saying that he would throw in a picture of himself, as if that would make it somehow factual.
News to me.

I’ve been watching the New Orleans shooting mess unfold since it happened, since that’s my adopted home town. Notable facts:
500+ people were there as a rap music video was being shot. Everyone had cameras. No one has provided any footage to the police despite the chief begging for it on the news.
One of the shooters was eventually identified by ONE witness–because everyone else “dinsee nuttin”) but it took two days to find him because others in that community were hiding him. (Yes, he looks like he could have been Obama’s son.)
It was a local gang beef and other shooters involved are still outstanding, and again, people know who they are and are hiding them or just staying quiet.
Why doesn’t the media report more on it? Indeed. My only conclusion is that seventeen black people shot by other black people doesn’t help advance Obama’s narrative that white males and guns are the problem.

I haven’t seen anything on either of these two shootings. Information on the Bunny Friend Park (seriously?) is so deliberately vague that I can only guess at what happened. The only certainties are that the NOPD are worthless, that there were shots fired and the NO citizens are not cooperating with anyone.
Commercial media refuses to cover the story, by and large. But then I kind of wonder just how you’d vet a story like that, when nobody dint saw nuffin. And kids got shot?!
I don’t know. Words fail me, and it’s not the first time that’s happened today.
As a bit of historical trivia……Henry “Bunny” Friend was the 19 year old son of New Orleans civic leaders Joseph and Ida. (Joseph was a cotton broker) Bunny had complications from surgery to remove a ball bearing that he had swallowed (why he did that is not known) and died on Feb 1, 1924. His parents dedicated this playground in his memory.
It just does not the template of racist white guys shooting blacks
