Some people have commented about the family resemblance between myself and Jace…

So here ya go… Me at age 3 (mumble years ago) with my grandfather and grandmother on my mother’s side.

  1. I did some cropping and enlarging. And yep, quite the resemblance.

The surprising thing is how much your grandfather looks like the one on my mother’s side. (grandfather, generic, unit of issue, one)

Now if we can find out where the child’s airdale gene is, we can switch the gene to snipe.

  2. I’m just over ROFL that Jace is in a Ladies Man t-shirt. Morning made.

  3. Just a “little bit” of resemblance there 😉

Reminds me….when my father’s mother had to move into a nursing home my parents spent a great deal of time helping sort through her things, including several boxes of some very well preserved photos. Shortly after starting on the photos my mother got very upset “Where’d your mother get all these pictures of (my brother) and who’s this boy with him??!!”

The pictures were of my father at a slightly younger age than my brother was at the time, photographed with his brother. Setting the photos side by side with same age photos of my brother you’d have sworn they were the same kid……

  4. Looks the same to me. I tell everyone that if you wanted to know what I looked like at a certain young age, look at my grandson. I showed the picture of me in Waikiki in ’63 to my daughter and she couldn’t believe it was me and not Jarrett.

  5. He likes trains, not airplanes…but he has time to evolve to be an AV8R.

    Cute boy, cool grandpa!

  6. Family resemblance is a funny thing….

When my youngest brother got married, he and his bride gave each set of parents a gift of a nicely restored and beautifully framed print of each set of parents on their wedding day, as well as a print of themselves from this happy day.

My brother chose to wear the exact same garb (tails with a fancy tie) as my dad had worn, and when you looked at the pictures, you can’t tell my dad from my brother.

  7. John- Thanks, and that’s scary…LOL

SPE- Good! He has MUCH better luck than I do!!! 🙂

    Mrs.C- So people say…

Ruth- Oh yeah, ‘some’ families do have those genes that follow generation to generation!

    Peter- 😛

    CP- LOL, yep!

    LL- Workin’ on it!

pedi- I can believe it, I’ve seen the same thing done. 😀

  8. More than a passing resemblance alright … kid will be able to use your old driver’s license ! :^)

  9. That’s a neat resemblance. My baby sister and my dad’s sister have the same thing going on, as evidenced by family pictures. Some genes just can’t be denied.
Jace sure is a cutie, but he has the military haircut going on. 🙂
    Suz

  10. My Grandson looks exactly as I did when his age. SO I tell him to take a good look at me, and if he doesn’t want to look like THAT—- EAT RIGHT AND LIVE A GOOD clean life unlike me!

  11. PPP- :-P, never did kiddo! LOL

    Suz- Thanks!

Ev- Not a bad idea, I hadn’t thought about THAT approach!!! LOL

  12. I will not comment that one photo is in black and white and the other is in high definition. Nope. Won’t do it.

    The resemblance is unmistakable however.

  13. MC- LOL, hopefully WITHOUT all the problems…

TactPunk- LOL, that was highdef for the day, probably a Brownie! 🙂

  14. I can see the resemblance between you and Jace.
I can picture him as a heartbreaker when he gets older.
Maybe a Naval Aviator like grandpa.
