  1. Exactly correct.
The other side has no interest in logic, or the constitution.
As others have said far better than I can, no matter what they say, they want to take our guns away.
My suspicion is that humans divide into those who believe in live and let live, and those who want to control others.

  2. I usually save this for Rev. Paul…

    AMEN!

PS – having to present this argument means you are engaging historical idiots! Hardly worth the effort. 🙂

  4. John- It’s always about control… sigh

Titan- Yep, sorry bout that… 🙂

    gfa- I know, I know…

  5. (Actually a good musket man can load and fire 6 times a minute with practice)

  6. I always tell people that the Minutemen actually had more advanced technology than the British regulars as the Brown Bess was a smoothbore versus the long rifle which had rifling. I then ask, shouldn’t we have that same advantage today?

  7. You guys do realize that back in the day battleships were privately owned, right? That’s why it was called “Privateering”. Cannon were also privately owned.

  8. Rick- Yep!

    Eric- Agreed on THAT!

Rock- Oh yeah… 🙂 Lots of money, IF you survived and took the OPFOR…

  9. Wow! I remember the ad, and I wanted that set so badly! And, yes, I remember the “other” set. Episodes of “Combat” were available on Netflix not long ago, may still be. An underrated, very well done series. I can play the theme on the piano. It is a little bit reminiscent of “Lilly Marlene,” which would be period appropriate. Thanks for posting.
