This sounds just like Bill’s campaign tactics against Bush and others over the years…

On another note, gotta love the Ninth Circus out in CA, once again they have decided to save the whales and kill the sailors through lack of training. I REALLY wonder whose side they are on…

Actually, according to my students, spell check is the culprit of bad spelling. Yes, they blame spell check for their problems.

    Great list! 🙂

  2. Murph, you and me both… more in the form of a rhetorical ya know 🙂

RT, why am I NOT suprised… NO one wants to take responsibility for their own mistakes. A friend with one of the major defense contractors got a resume that was done basically in text chat spelling, and the girl called to ask why she never got a call back. When he told her it was not acceptable, her reply was, “well that’s the way all of us spell.”

  3. There ya go.

I spend at least 20-30 minutes on each essay I grade. They are that bad. Do they try to improve for the next one? No. So their grades get lower each time. Very few students are conscientious enough to write well and to proofread.

They get all hyper and anal about math and science; however, when it comes to English class, they couldn’t be bothered, because “it’s just English.”
