On the road (again)…

Oklahoma IS okay!!!

An update from Oklahoma.

The state law passed , 37 to 9 (had a few liberals in the mix), an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol. The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake. Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values…!

Guess what……….We did it anyway.

We recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from, unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen. They all scattered. Hope we didn’t send any of them to your state. This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said it would be a mistake.

Guess what……….we did it anyway..

Yesterday we passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegals to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes. Pelosi said it was unconstitutional.

Guess what……..We did it anyway.

Several weeks ago, we passed a law, declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives. That, for your information, makes Oklahoma and Texas the only states to do so. Guess what………More states are likely to follow. Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, both Carolina’s, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, just to name a few. Should Mississippi act, so will Florida. Save your confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up once again.

The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns. Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles. I’m sure that was a set back for the Kennedys and Ms Pelosi.

Guess what……….We did it anyway.

By the way, Obama does not like any of this.

Guess what….who cares…were doing it anyway!

And I’d LOVE to see Perez Hilton or what ever his REAL name is take on THIS young lady…

  1. Alaska’s State Sovereignty Act passed on April 19, and is awaiting transmittal to Gov. Palin. The Legislature is also considering a bill to make guns manufactured in AK exempt from federal interfer… er, regulation.

  2. Looks like there’s a lot of other states I’d rather live in. Too bad my job keeps me tied down here in The People’s Republik of Kalifornia!

  3. That should read “Now That the South Has WON, We Have It Made”.

I was excited as the husband announced he found a box of 357’s in the bullet cache and left out the main word. Oops.

  4. I think Montana has passed a State Sovereignty bill as well. There is one in the Missouri legislature at the moment that is slowly moving forward. Right now we’re pushing to College Carry, expansion of our Castle Doctrine and lowering the CCW age from 23 to 21.

    We’ll get there too!

  5. Of course, these sovereignty laws would be a violation of the United States Constitution, article VI, paragraph 2. Since most of us claim to hold the Constitution pretty dear- and some of us have sworn to uphold it against all enemies, foreign AND domestic- that’s kinda a big deal.

You just explained to me why jobs around here are hard to come by.

And the word verification is for me this time is “ingles”. Funny!

  7. Drjim- I’m visiting and can’t wait to leave… 🙂

    Snigs- 🙂 Attention to detailll…. 🙂

Crucis- Yep, but it’s really NOT legal per se… States Rights only extend so far.

    John- You are correct… dammit…

Elm- Yep, the illegals are moving around looking for the states that WON’T send the back, or they have the best chance of getting work with NO checks on their immigration status.

Fuzzy- Pick a Tea Party and attend- THAT is the way we will get their attention!

Julie- Pick the weather and wait five minutes, it’ll change…

  8. “…where the wind comes sweepin’ down the plain…” Oklahoma OK!

Indeed!! I LOVE it! This is very encouraging & I hope you’re right about the other States to follow on the soveignty thing…

Keep up the good work, here, NFO.

  9. Let’s not forget about the 10th Amendment since we are talking about the Constitution:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

  10. But since declaring Federal law null and void would be a violation of the Constitution, the 10th Amendment doesn’t apply (since the supreme law of the land IS a power given to the national government and Constitution).

  11. If you read the writings of the founders, writings that explained their thoughts on the creation of the Constitution, you’ll find they accepted and approved of Nullifcation as an additional check ‘n balance on the federal government. That happened quite often in the early years of our Republic.

To the best of my knowledge, it has never been brought before SCOTUS. Much of the current efforts by those who believe in the “original” intrepretation of the constitution is directed to limiting the scope of the “commerce” clause. The first few drafts of the Constitution did not contain that cluase.
