Never Forget… — 4 Comments

  1. Lost a friend, indirectly, from the Towers attack. The dust, et al, triggered an asthma attack. He had run out of meds and he couldn’t get to a hospital or pharmacy and the EMTs were all occupied. He lived somewhere on Manhattan and couldn’t move—no traffic, no subways, nothing but Shank’s Mare. He suffocated in his apartment, tended by his wife and teen-aged daughter.

I don’t know if he was included in the count. Don’t think so. Many others died due to be trapped in their homes and unable to get to care or have care come to them.
