My cleaning lady is an illegal alien-she is Polish. Her whole family is here illegally along with many Chinese at our neighborhood school. Why is it only being viewed as the Hispanics coming here illegally? What about all of the Arabs?

Anon- the largest percentage ARE Hispanic. No question ALL ethnicities are represented, but in much smaller percentages. Are you paying her under the table? and less than what you’d pay a legal cleaning person???

We live ~ 30 miles outside Houston; had a census worker here today, trying to find a home that doesn’t exist – SHE TOLD ME, her subordinates are having to to-&-fro to the office, to get Spanish language census forms, because the illegals are so numerous here {an area ~ 10 miles x 5 miles}, and SO MANY live in the households, the census forms’ stopping @ ’10 per household’ are insufficient ……………… I’ll put more of our conversation up at my blog over the next couple of days …………………

To the last “Anonymous” commenter – unless/until YOU deal with illegals & their concomitant costs, stick it where the sun don’t shine – you’ve obviously NEVER had to deal with maneuvering your vehicle through “day laborers” when you’re just going about YOUR business; you’ve ALSO obviously never been a crime victim of illegals {from identity theft onward}, nor had to deal with avoiding drunken illegals on the road; NEVER had to wait HOURS in an emergency room, because it’s filled with illegals with the sniffles; NEVER dealt with a school system overburdened to the point of bankruptcy because they’re FORCED to educate {IN Spanish, I might add} the anchor babies …………………… so, NO, you DON’T have clue one what you’re blathering about ……………….

I have a more practical question. What is the percentage of Hispanic citizens that would side with the U.S. over their ‘heritage’? I could certainly see some conflict there if push came to shove. One thing I just flat out don’t understand is why any Hispanic of Mexican decent that’s a legal U.S. citizen, would look longingly across the border and wish for more of that over here.
for years the blacks were denied and held back because of their color. Whites preferred latinos and even during war time classified them as white and segregated them along with the whites away from the blacks. Now I hear tales. of the good ole boys straddling up to blacks and saying we must unite as Americans against the latinos. Excuse me but not every latino is here illegally and there are other ethnic groups who are also here illegally. Our government must get it’s immigration under control and enforce the laws. I will admit I am tired of people coming here and not assimilating. I am tired of all the special treatment for those who broke our laws. How can the President say he will work on reform for those who will uphold our laws when they already have broken them by coming here illegally. We have a system for immigration just like other countries. If they are allowed to get away with breaking one law why should any matter to them. You’re not allowed to vote unless you are a U.S. citizen but they are voting and that’s breaking the law too. What’s next?
