%^@&$ Comcast…

Well, I’m moved, crap piled everywhere and sitting at the airport, so the first log in since last Wed. I STILL have no internet at the new place thanks to Comcast’s screwups, and Cox turning my old addy off a week early… Ya know, not having TV, Internet, etc. IS actually kinda restful 🙂

The way it looks, it’ll be next week at the earliest before I’m back on line, so if any of y’all have sent email to my old addy, it’s bouncing, just hang in there and I’ll (hopefully) be back on line next week sometime.

And Jay, next time I’ll PAY for you a plane ticket to come help… 1700 lbs of ammo bout killed my back…

Oops, boarding, so gotta run! Y’all be good, and if you can’t do that, at least have fun!!!

  1. You DO know of those webmail services that are free (ad supported) that allow you to maintain an email address independent of whoever/wherever your ISP is, right? Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.

Hope that the settling in goes well.

  2. Medic- Yeah, i have one but seldom use it…

    Gia- Thanks!

    Supi- Yeah, but I can’t find THAT box… sigh…

    Julie- Yeah, right… 🙂

  3. I’d suggest you buy your own domain name. You’ll still need IP access but your e-mail and other stuff can remain the same. It’s fairly easy. Drop me a note if you’re interested.

BTW, I use Comcast as well. For the last 11 years my uptime has been great.

  4. The only time you have too much ammo is when your house is on fire.

  5. Well, I DID offer to help, too. Quitcherwhining!

  6. NFO, if I’d had the time I’d have come down gladly…

Glad to hear you’re in the new digs; will breath a sigh of relief once things approach some semblance of normal for you again…

  7. ADM- Good point!

Crucis- That is an option, maybe I’ll explore it again.

    Stretch- POINT!!!

Newbius- yeah, AFTER I finished… 🙂 And you only wanted to ‘hold’ the guns! Seriously, I did appreciate the offer…

Jay- The way my schedule is going, that will be in about 6 months!!! 🙁

  8. YEp, Comcast sucks as all can be. I have them, and I hate them. Sadly, being an apartment dweller I have little choice in the matter.

And yes, unplugging does feel good sometime.

  9. Comcast and I have an uneasy existence right now. It only took them 3 months to get everything hooked up right and get the right boxes and routers here.

Since its all been “fixed”, everything has been fine.

    Safe travels!!!
