Another little quiz for y’all…

Another one from the Mil-emails…

This is a terrific test, and it shows results in a number of ways.  It surely indicates that the majority of Americans don’t know what’s going on.

Interesting and simple test.  It’s astonishing that so many people got less than half right.

These results say that 80% of the (voting) public doesn’t have a clue – and that’s pretty scary.

There are no tricks here – just a simple test to see if you are current on your information.

This is quite good and the results are interesting.

Test your knowledge with 13 questions, then be ready to shudder when you see how others did.

Another little quiz for y’all… — 29 Comments

  1. I got all 13, but that was ’cause you gave a hint with the “unemployment” numbers – I would have chosen a higher #, but I remember what the govt is CLAIMING as unemp #s.

    Semper Fi’
    DM

  2. 13 of 13.

Sad, to see the percentages. Basing it on my high school’s scale (anything below a 75 is failing), 65% of the respondants wouldn’t have passed. 10 of 13 is the lowest you could’ve gotten to pass (and that would’ve put you at a 76.9% correct).

  3. There’s no “All of them” option on the countries with debt problems that may default.

  4. 9% – really???? I suppose the give away was “as reported by the government” – liars.

Oh, as for the symbol, I have NO DOUBT is pushed Democrat, yet it showed I got it wrong. Things that make ya go Hummmmm..

Still, better than 74% of all folks taking the test – really??? Hell in a hand basket guys, hell in a hand basket!

  5. Got all 13, and Alan beat me to the “all of them” response on Euro countries about to default. 🙂

  6. I’m unemployed and I only missed that one on unemployment too. The numbers they use are patently false.

  7. Missed the unemployment one because I didn’t see your comment and one because I didn’t remember what our Supremes look like.

  8. I oopsed on #7 and 11. My gut said the right answer for 11 but I picked the wrong one anyway. D’oh!

  9. 13, and nobody pays me for my smarts, only my production.

    Newbius

  10. missed 2; Technically the unemployment rate should be more like 21% not nine. I missed the Prime Minister as well. Heck I have a hard enough time keeping track of our Government much less our allies.

  11. Hey Boss, I also scored 100% for the same reason as Diamond Mair. And also would have chosen the 21%.
I cannot believe there are that many uniformed stupid people in this country!!

  12. Excellent. I’d have likely missed the unemployment number, as I was thinking what they ACTUALLY are when you count in the people that don’t count any more because they’ve given up looking to be permanently on the dole.

  13. Aced it, but remember, in America Today, it’s MUCH more important to know the name of some dog in some silent movie that was only shown in New York and L.A. for 10 days, then given the Best Picture Oscar, then we’ll let the public watch it. That’s what’s REALLY Important!

  14. All- Thanks for ‘playing along’ and it just shows how well educated, aware, and literate ‘most’ bloggers are 🙂

Ironically, the Red Crescent is also their symbol for the Red Cross/ambulances…

  15. I got 10 🙁 and I didn’t read your hint before hand …

    I got wrong:
    1. Location of Brazil 🙁 Should probably had known that;
    2. Which house the republicans have a majority in ..
    3. The speaker of the house of reps …

  16. 13 out of 13, before I read the comment stream.

*sigh* It says That’s better than 92% of the population. Julie at 10 puts her well on the right side of the bell curve.

Would we really be that bad off if only the votes of those that scored +1 sigma got to count on a randomly generated, on-the-ballot, closed book pertinent fact quiz? Sure, that’d mean only 12.5% of the voting population counted , but it’d be the most informed 12.5% The only downsize of this is: who gets to make the questions and assert what the correct answer is when there are interests out there that are bound and determined that truth and falsity are concepts they cannot distinguish.

  17. 13 out of thirteen without any hints.

Pretty sad, considering that I don’t watch any news.

    *sigh*

  18. 12 of 13.

Didn’t know who the Prime Minister of (formerly) Great Britain was. Which is odd, because I do. I swear.

I wonder how that JO with the power point skills would have done.
