I go back and forth on requiring word verification. When I turn it off at first there are few problems, but over time there’s an uptick in spam – and a downturn in comments.
Boy, howdy, I guess so. Man, it blows chunks. I’d hate to turn it off and go to moderation, but sheesh.
Yeah, since I get so few posts, I could turn wv off, and post moderation on, and save my readers the hassle of fighting with it!

What I think is going to bite them is their claim that they need “Help” trying to figure out what the words are “because their scanners can’t read them.”
Well, if you are wanting Readers to do your Editing, shouldn’t you be paying them for their Labor? Or don’t you have a spare Billion or Two to pay people in the Home Office?
