Sandusky GUILTY!!! — 10 Comments

  1. Unfortunately, this is a case where it will be IMPOSSIBLE for the punishment to fit the crime.

Worse yet, is the corruption and knowledge of his crimes that went all the way up throughout the Halls of Power in both the university and the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Joe Paterno, the stinking scumbag, is already becoming worm dirt.

Penn State may never get over this, and while that is hugely unfair to most of the student body, if the faculty and administration does not rally and literally threaten to shut down teh university until ALL involved in the cover up are in prison cells next to Sandusky (or plots next to Paterno), then I have no sympathy for whatever may become of the university.

There is crime, and then there is Evil. This case is definitely the latter.

  2. Somehow, I don’t think that Jerry figgered that retirement would be like this. Good for him. He richly deserves the retirement he’s going to get.

  3. BP- Yep, and try their damnest to sweep this under the rug…

AOA- Concur, and what amazes me is people STILL defend Paterno’s lack of action…

    Paw- Yep!

    Danny- Me and you both…

  4. Boy, that didn’t take the jury long. I was a little concerned when I heard local news guys mulling over the fact that Sandusky’s wife said she never heard anything – that’s standard for the wife in abuse cases. They know, but aren’t willing to face it and risk what they perceive as family stability.

  5. Hi…saw your blog through Ed Bonderanka’s…

re Sandusky, I am cheered that he’s been found guilty, really relieved, but I think this is so demoralizing for our whole country. Here was a guy who stood tall, was well loved, led teams to victories…couldn’t have been more celebrated!
    And now this.
In a truly depressing way I even hesitate to share, I heard that verdict, saw the crowds and the look on his face, and thought this is like America today…once so celebrated but having lost its standing in the world, and even here among most patriots, with what Obama’s doing, etc. Very sad times.
    Sandusky seems like a metaphor.

I hope what’s going to happen to HIM never actually happens to us.

  6. PH- Yep, denial is NOT just a river in Egypt…

Crucis- Didn’t hear that, but I believe it was.

Z- Thanks for stopping by, and yeah, here’s hoping WE don’t end up like this!!!

  7. What we need to see, and won’t, are charges against ALL of the adults around him who knew what was going on and didn’t stop it years ago.

Where was the courage? What is your job/career really worth when you shut your eyes and ears to evil to keep it?
