A new ‘toy’ to play with…

A few months ago, somebody found a website that allowed you to ‘color’ a US map with all the states and how often you’d interacted with them.

In comments somebody wondered if there was one for the ‘world’…

Guess what???  Yep, got one in an email from the mil-email list!

visited 59 states (26.2%)

You can go HERE and build your own map…

Sigh… I’ve been doing this crap WAY too long…  And I’ve only hit 26% of the world…

No wonder my butt is flat, when I think about how many miles/hours I’ve spent on airplanes in the last 40+ years…

Feel free to play along if you so desire!

  1. I would, but it would just look like someone spit in a parking lot.

Looking at your map, a song comes into my thinking.

    “I’ve been everywhere, man!”

  2. I’d kinda keep this “under my cap” if I were you . . . .

Think of the potential fallout for Navy recruiting . . . .

“Join the Navy – and see 26% of the world!””

    Just sayin” . . . . 🙂

  3. Depending on wether I spruce my numbers with airport transfers, I get between 3.11% and 5.33%… pitiful in comparison. I intend to increase this quite a bit though.

  4. Carteach/Keads- LOL, not quite… They DO have one for the US, most folks have played with that one a few months ago.

    MSgt- I’ll check it out!

Pissed- Tired flat ass is ALL I got out of it… LOL

    eia- True!!!

    Andy- I’ll stop by!

Murph- I ‘think’ you’ll win the US version!

Mikael- When you get to be my age, you’ll probably have covered ALL of the world!

  5. Well i’ve put mine on my blog – no where near impressive as yours … mmm not sure I’ll be adding to it anytime soon either 🙁

  6. A lowly 10 countries for 4.44%.
And many of them was when I was an Army Brat prior to my 5th birthday.
As an adult I’ve stuck to countries that speak English, brew beer and play football (of one sort or another).
And since I’ve no intention of allowing TSA perverts near my or my wife’s person the number is not about to change.
On the bright side; there are 11 US states I’ve still to visit.

  7. I like knowing that there are folks like you keeping it together as it falls apart. I also think being able to name those countries is the product of a time when public education was about learning. Lucky me.

  8. I did mine, the piloting thing added a lot of places and some little countries where I just wanted to leave before someone shot at us again.
