Sheesh, I really hate how work keeps getting in the way of ‘fun’ time. But I finally got to the range with the HBAR, and put a few down range to check the sights and new trigger.
All I can say is OH WOW!!!
I had a Geissele High Speed Match trigger put in on the recommendations of folks I know that ‘really’ know how to shoot. I will be honest and say that is the smoothest AR trigger I have EVER seen!!! 4.5lb break and it’s glass rod smooth for both stages.
I also had the sights changed out, as the original ones were NOT true NM sights (1/2 MOA clicks). Again with recommendations went with Armalite front and rear.
The three rounds covered by the dots were at 50 yards, just to make sure I was actually on paper… I was shooting 69gr FGMM and I love the accuracy and capability of the rifle!
I know these groups aren’t match quality, but what the hey… Open sights, tired old eyes and coffee… I can HAZ excuses 🙂
I had one flyer, but at least I called that one. We quit as it was starting to rain, but that is a SWEET shooter and almost a different rifle from the original set of targets on the range. I KNOW the trigger is a whole bunch different!
And I have to give credit to W.A.R Rifles in Manassass, VA for the quality work! They are not fast, but they ARE good!!!

Pretty nice. Few things as enjoyable as a good shooting rifle.
I have a RRA NM upper on order now. An A4 with a NM carry handle and 1/4 MOA sight with a .030 aperture.
For the lower, I also have a RRA stripped lower on order. The A2 stock, buffer tube, buffer, and spring are already here. The rest of the guts and the trigger are TBD.
My hope is to build a NM rifle, and be able to swap the carry handle for optics and have a 3-400 yard sub-moa accuracy rifle.

Keep a surveillant, vigilant eye out in your rearview mirror on your commute to work and trips to the grocery store, and beware of trailing black helicopters in the sky. Who knows, you may soon get treated to a “No Knock Warrant Wake Up Call.” 😉

Actually, the police were in my house for a reason not related to weapons, and offered the “secure” the guns that they observed, for me. I politely declined and said I knew how to handle them. I am sure my name and address are now flagged.
