They’re doing it AGAIN…

I’m a little late on this, but once again the administration is after the military, and this time it’s in writing…

They have threatened to veto the Defense Appropriations Bill currently passed by the house over, among other things, the failure of the House to raise Tri-Care fees on the military and retirees…

The administration also complained that the committee eliminated funding for the Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS), blocked proposed increases to TRICARE fees, and limited funds for transferring terror detainees.

And then there’s THIS

TRICARE Fees and Co-Payments.  The Administration is disappointed that the Congress did not incorporate the requested TRICARE fee initiatives into either the appropriation or authorization legislation.  The Administration asks the House to reconsider the TRICARE fee proposals, which are essential for DOD to successfully address rising personnel costs.  The $1.8 billion in savings are part of a carefully balanced FY 2013 Budget request.

Sooo… That whole NO increases for people making less than $200,000 applies to everybody EXCEPT the military, and oh yeah, you can ‘keep’ your healthcare… BUT they want the active duty and retirees to PAY $1.8 Billion more so they can count that as a SAVINGS???

And they ‘claim’ to support the military?

Give me a #@$^& break…  And if you read further down in the second link, their stated GOAL is to run retirees OUT of Tri-Care and force us into Obummercare!!!

We have to vote this bunch out in November, if you want to still even HAVE a military…

Rant off, kicking soapbox back in the corner now, sigh…

  1. Once upon a time, enlisted military retirees healthcare was free, Active Duty folks and families showed up at the clinic for free and the only time you neeeded to worry about cost was when they sent you downtown, but then they would do CHAMPUS referral for you for non-availability. The number of broken promises to both AD and Retirees are too numerous to count over the past 30+ years, and is just easier to see when it involves healthcare. And when availability goes down, more folks “bail” to find a way to get their needs met. I agree we have to get them all out in November — would be nice also if we also knew what we were getting in the new ones. I concur …. sigh….

  2. Ever notice this crap always comes up when a democrat is in the WH – Carter (God help us!!!), Slick Willie – (Somalia – nuff said), and now the Big “O”. There is a genuine hate of the military with these folks. Probably the same people that greeted us on our return to the “world” from our SEA vacation!

We will be well and truly F*#KED if we can not take the WH in November along with the Congress. Even then, sadly, it’s probably a toss-up.

  3. It is disheartening to see how this administration expects and demands that our servicemen & women observe the oath they swore upon entering the services. But the administration has no problems violating, ignoring and trampling the oath of office that they swore when entering office. The administration is also okay with ignoring and abrogating the promises and contracts made to our servicemen.

  4. Don’t stop ranting and don’t abandon your soapbox. We need that fire-in-the-belly over the next 122 days.

  5. The “progressives” need to have somebody pay for their B. S. and dumping on their ‘enemies’, i.e. the military is par for the course.

  6. Hate to say this….but maybe it’s time that our people in uniform think hard about what nation & CIC they are fighting for….and act accordingly….

  7. Think the rats know their voyage is almost over and they want to get their licks in while they can?

We need to (gently) talk to our apolitical acquaintances to motivate them to register AND vote.

  8. Joey- Concur!

eia- I’m SURE Hillary was one of the protesters… sigh

    Roger- Good point!

Tim- Oh I’ll be around, trust me…

LL- And it has been in EVERY democrat administration going back to Truman!!!

    Seeker- I don’t think you’re all that wrong…

WSF- Concur, we had that discussion on the 4th too!!!

  9. “Watch what we Say, not what we Do…”
My father, a real war hero (not that he will let you call him that)deserves every bit of health care he needs. Every day i get a little more GALLED. The big unabashed lies– i wonder why lightening does not just come down and …well, “the mills of God grind exceedingly slow, but they grind exceedingly fine…

  10. I have been following this story and it makes me sick. I should stop being surprised at the low level this administration is willing to sink.

  11. Booting the commies out of the WH is just the start. We need to clean out the bureaucracy, too. Eliminate the EPA, DHS and some other 3-letter agencies.

    And then replace 5 Justices.

  12. So, is this the time we STORM the Castle? If not when? I can start to hear the purple shirts marching down the street now breaking all the windows.

  13. But don’t worry friends and neighbors, we will still give free healthcare to the lazy, able bodied bastards who want to just sell drugs and sit on their fourth point all day.

75% of our government could be shut down and not affect our quality of life at all – except to make it better

  14. Katy- One hopes the grinding speeds up a bit…

Agirl- It’s because the military is PROHIBITED from commenting/getting involved in politics!!!

    Crucis- Concur!!!

Anon- Gotta do the right thing in NOV FIRST!!!

Instinct- Yep, you are correct… dammit…

  15. It’s despicable that the President is doing this, but not surprising.

He’s doing it to civilians as well. The tax penalty that SCOTUS upheld is only one tax in Obamacare and they all effect people making well under $200K a year.

The only remedy is to vote Obama and the Democrats in the Senate out in November.

    It’s our last chance.

  16. People, especially children, are increasingly eating more and more junk food as part of their regular diets. This succulent plant with spines and no leaf is an important ingredient used for the preparation of medicinal products. In fact ,some people who are already using hoodia say that they need at least 1,200 milligrams per day to get the result that they want. Overall, things look good in 2008 for those interested in hoodia diet pills. The San tribe in South Africa have used Hoodia gordonii for a large number of many years to lower appetite.
