YGTBSM!!!

Turns out the fire aboard the USS Miami was set by a 24 year old who wanted to get off work because he had an anxiety attack…  Tha sumbitch should be taken out and SHOT!  I hope they sentence his ass to about 40 years… THEN let’s see about anxiety!

  1. Saw it…still angry. He cost us 400 BILLION dollars and compromised national security. He should be shot, but he’ll probably wind up with community service and a job with the Obama administration.

  2. You know some careers will be ruined because they failed to detect this nut job and/or had a program in place to “deter” such activity.

As to the asshole, an old engine block, stout rope, and deep water.

  3. I heard he shop-vac’d hot work and put the vac away.
    Guess not.

Firefighters were harmed putting that out.
There was some real heroism from a SCPO who went aboard to direct the effort.

  4. I saw that today. I am pissed! Scumbag! I wish he would be under the Military Code of Justice.

  5. What a sorry sack of excrement. Stupid SOB could have said, “I’m freaking out because of XYZ and I need to leave NOW” and left and that would have been the end of it.

  6. You should start a “Douchebag of the Week” competition.

Nah. Come to think of it, it would probably end up being too much work…so many D-bags, so little time.

This week’s winner would be an easy pick though.

  7. WSF- Concur!

Ed- That was what was originally thought… And yeah, the SCPO deserves a medal!

Keads- hopefully he will go to prison for life!

Robert- But THAT would have meant he’d have to take responsibility for his actions!

    Msgt- True and true 🙁

Andy- Not sure what ‘else’ they are going to charge him with!

PE- Thanks, I’ll update the post and concur, but I hear Levenworth is no bed of roses either…

  8. Leavenworth, or correctly the US Disciplinary Barracks, is not too far from me. It is surrounded by stone walls around 30′ high I’d estimate with razor wire on top. I’ve driven by it a number of times when duty or job sent me there.

It’s very foreboding. I’ve never been inside. It does not appear to be a fun place. I took my AF separation physical at Leavenworth. I remember seeing the M-60s pointing out of the guard towers as I drove by.

Rumor has it that the gallows where they hung the German spies during WW2 are still there, stored away somewhere. That probably is just a myth but it should be a reality for some cases.

  9. Not that I have a whole lot of sympathy for the dude (I’d bet I know people currently stationed on the Miami), but what in the name of all that is holy is a guy on THREE central-nervous-system depressants and an ANTIdepressant doing working, period?

who signed off on letting him do anything riskier than paperwork?
