Well, the ‘grapevine’ has it that both Lockheed Martin and Pratt and Whitney are prepping layoff notices for thousands of employees…
And they will be issued in late October to meet the 60 day requirement. Apparently the Labor is having a hissy fit over this, and doing everything they can to get these companies (plus who knows how many others) to NOT send the layoff notices…
And the House has finally sued Holder for the F&F records/documents… Article HERE. All I can say is, it’s about damn time!!!
And this just pisses me off…

The Defense layoffs should be getting much more airplay than they are. That just shows how much in the tank the media is.

It creates an awkward situation – I don’t want the layoffs to happen but if they are going to happen I want it to be right before the election. Which is, of course, exactly when the admin doesn’t want them to happen.

Seriously, Obama is going to use every trick in the Chicago machine bag of tricks to win this election. Keeping military folks in a swing state from voting is only the tip of the iceberg.

Lockheed Martin is pretty big out here in the Bay Area, mostly missile stuff though and not enough to turn a Blue state Red. More layoffs here is just a drop in the welfare bucket.
