Can’t ask for a much better day!
Old blog friends, new blog friends, commenters (including one gent that, when we chatted, we determined we ‘had’ crossed paths back in the day), lurkers, and general hangers on (either Andy or Murph has the attendee list)…
I don’t know if Stretch or Per Diem wins for the oldest gun shot there today, but there were some NICE ones! I mean how many times do you see a FOUR digit serial number Winchester double barrel???
And there was the obligitory full auto funfest, with Murphy and The Sheckel with dueling Uzis. Of course THAT kickstarted things on the rest of the range, and at least one full auto M-16 popped up, along with a G18 (yes I said 18) and the infamous 33 round mags…
Many dollars were turned into smoke and smiles!
And I couldn’t resist this one…
MSgt B, taking a picture of yet ANOTHER table full of guns, as his wife does the hurry up and wait (but she’s really a nice lady)…LOL
And there was this young lady, not part of our group, but was eyeing the M-24. I’d watched her go 2 for 3 with the little .243 in the right of the picture, so I let her have at it. I dunno what it is, but DAYUM, women are accurate with that rifle!!!

And a question, can you get carpal thumb??? I bout wore mine out loading mags… sigh…
Wonder if I can qualify for a work related injury? 🙂

Sounds like y’all had a blast…hopefully I can catch the next shoot:)
An awesome time was had by all. Nobody hurt, lots of lead hurled downrange, some dead bowling pins, a whole pickup truck load of pumpkins destroyed, many cans of Tannerite, some in pumpkins, some in stuffed animals.
Some full auto weapons, lots of Black Rifles (some not black, that that doesn’t matter), some rare and unusual weapons, a few breakages (parts for my MSAR are already on order).

trust me, i’d have preferred to drive down there than go to work in the morning. major issues that must be worked on over the weekend always suck.
More Good News! I think you were busy elsewhere, but we just had another “Win.” A young couple showed up, and were looking a little confused. I introduced myself, and it turns the young lady was there with her boyfriend to shoot her first gun EVER! I looked around, and Pedium wasn’t busy. So I introduced them, and she was more than willing to help her out. So we had a Veteran LADY Shooter help out a Newbie LADY shooter come into the “Family.” Pedium said when they were done that the Newbie was very, very, happy, and was looking forward to her next time.

So to the Anti-Gunners who claim we only have Guns to Compensate for the size of our Penises, F.O.!
I’m not sure that my daddy’s shotgun was the oldest gun there…it was made in either ’33 or ’34. That particular tournament skeet model of the Winchester was made only those 2 years, so it’s pinned down pretty well. But until the NEBS in August, it had sat unused for 55 years.
It tickled my dad something wonderful when I told him this afternoon that y’all had so much fun shooting it yesterday!
Thanks again for the invite and all of the fun. And thanks as well to all of those who offered me their guns to shoot! I don’t think I’ve ever shot so many different guns in such a short period of time.
