A Funny…

I’m tired of all the negative stuff, so a funny for your Saturday!

While on a road trip, an elderly couple stopped at a roadside restaurant for lunch. After finishing their meal, they left the Restaurant, and resumed their trip.

When leaving, the elderly woman unknowingly left her glasses on the table, and she didn’t miss them until they had been driving for about forty minutes.

By then, to add to the aggravation, they had to travel quite a distance before they could find a place to turn around, in order to return to the restaurant to retrieve her glasses.

All the way back, the elderly husband became the classic grouchy old man. He fussed and complained, and scolded his wife relentlessly during the entire return drive. The more he chided her, the more agitated he became. He

Just wouldn’t let up for a single minute.

To her relief, they finally arrived at the restaurant. As the woman got out of the car, and hurried inside to retrieve her glasses, the old geezer yelled to her, “While you’re in there, you might as well get my hat and the credit card.”

So THIS is what I have to look forward to???

Sigh…

Sorry about the format problems… Hard to post from an iPhone…

  1. I hope NOT, but it seems to happen to many of us. The items left behind at my building are most frequently coats & jackets, followed by cell phones, sunglasses, and then shoulder bags.

Maybe dummy cords are the answer..?

  2. Standing in the parking lot, hands in pockets hitting the key fob and listening for the beep, while trying desperately to remember which vehicle I drove…

  3. The sad thing is, I can see myself doing something along these lines NOW, and I’m not yet 30… It’s a good thing my wife is gracious, loving, and utterly intolerant of BS. 😛

  4. ADM- Yeah…

    eia- Nope 🙂

    CP- LOL

    WSF- This is true… dammit

Rev- Good point, but HOW MANY dummy cords can one attach???

    ED- Thinking positive… I think…

MR.K- Sounds like you got a good one, hang on to her!!!
