WOW…

Something tells me the Catholics are NOT happy…

Matter of fact, I think they are just flat PISSED!  I can never remember anything this ‘strong’ coming out from the Catholic Church in my lifetime.

  1. I stole this powerful message for my own blog as well – without remorse… ;^)

  2. Ya know, I go back and forth on this whole thing. I have the majority in my parish support the asshole 4 years ago. Yet his record on life, marriage, jobs was certainly clear for anyone willing to do a little digging. Now they are all “oh my God, he’s against marriage, life, jobs!!!” Well, yes, dumbass – and he was 4 years ago as well. Only now we’re 6 TRILLION FRICKING DOLLARS MORE IN DEBT!!!!

I suppose better late than never, but honest to goodness it would have been nice for them to pull their head outta their ass 4 years sooner . . . . .

INSERT SLIGHTLY INSANE ANIMAL GROWL/SCREAM HERE!!!!!!!!!!

  3. As a recent convert to Catholicism, there’s a small part of me that feels little sympathy for the Church.
They made the Faustian deal with the Govt during the 1920-30s Progressivism and started to equate taxation with charity.
That said, as a life long Conservative pro-life voter I do stand with the Church.

  4. Oh yes they are! A lot of the Catholics I know have gotten very vocal about what they see as an infringement. Thanks for waking up, papists. Would have been nice if you had seriously considered all this “infringing rights” stuff 4 years ago when we were screaming about it.

I like Catholics. But their sense of tradition is too often used as a substitute for thinking.

  5. I was raised catholic, but go to a Methodist church now. I have been conservative for as long as I can remember. That was a good video, but most of the catholic will vote for obungler anyway. The church has taught most of the people to be tolerant and they equate that with democrats….the logic escapes me also. Thanks for the good video though, I am hopeful that this will knock some of them out of their shell.

  6. What everyone else said…..being raised Catholic (but not a go-er for years ands years) I can usually understand how they think and still see the picture more clearly.

  7. As a lapsed Catholic, you’re correct, Sir, in that Catholics have never been this angry before ………………….. I remember Roe v. Wade, and the overwhelming attitude was sorrow …………….. BTW, did you see Øbama’s appearance on Jon Stewart? ‘If four Americans get killed, it’s not OPTIMAL’ The link is over @ my blog {LONG link} – come ON, 6 November!!

  8. I was raised as a Lutheran, Missouri Synod, my husband was Catholic, so I went through instrution and we were married in the Catholic faith. Brigid, Jr. as well was adopted by a loving Catholic family, raised and recently married in the church.

They are pissed, and rightly so.

  9. LL- Feel Free!

    eia- Heard that…

    Rev- Yep

    Themav- Understood.

    Ed- Point!

    Andy- Good point too!

    MrG- One hopes!

    Joey- 🙂

    Jenn- Me neither!

    DM/Brigid- Thanks for your perspectives!

  10. Speaking as the token atheist in the crowd, I wondered when the churches and the members were going to wake up on the pro-life issues raised by ObamaCare.

Regardless of your personal convictions on the matter of birth control, abortion, gay marriage, etc., being forced to pay for them for others pretty much renders your beliefs and church doctrines moot.

And eiaftinfo, yes! Where were these people four years ago when Teh iWon’s positions on these matters were already well known??

  11. I’m not Catholic, but I certainly agree with their concerns. However all church organizations need to realise that if you take Ceasar’s money you have to dance to his tune.

  12. Actually NFO, that video is available on YT with many other ‘subject’ groups.

Still…I’ve returned to the Church after 40 years, & have never heard the level of (semi) anti-gov sentiment recently displayed. Does the heart good, it does.

BTW- B. Andy? Faith is faith, thinking is thinking, & reasoning is a function of the two. One’s faith does not preclude critical thought. $.02.

  13. Rick- It is…

    Rickn8or- EXCELLENT Point!

    MSgt- Yep

Gaffer- GOOD point! Ceasar IS going to get his (especially with THIS administration…

DT- Understood, and agree on the reasoning!
