YGTBSM!!!

Go read THIS at An Ordinary Texan… You will NOT believe it…

Wounded Warrior Project rejects gun-owners, gun-dealers, gun-manufacturers.

Talk about hypocrisy…  I think we need to find another group to support.  Just sayin…

Found one- Soldier’s Angels!

  1. What! Seriously! I’m with you NFO, let find some other organization to take our money.

  2. They sure didn’t have a problem accepting the cash that we raised for them via our blogshoots the last two years. I guess next year we’ll have to find another cause.

  3. Now I feel like a fool. I wrote a check to the Wounded Warrior Project.

What sort of “progressive, left-wing mutants” are they?

  4. If you’re a Texan and especially if you like bikes there’s texashonorride.org totally volunteer. I work with the president.

  5. That is a shocker! And until the get an attitude adjustment they will get no money from me. I will deal directly with any WW I come across. That way 100% will go the him/her. Not a percentage to pay for people like her.

  6. LL- You and us both…

    WSF- Yep!!!

Teke- Thanks, looks like one hellva good group!

    CP- Thanks!

  7. My $$$ usually go to DAV, VFW, the American Legion, and Adopt-A-Platoon. I could be wrong, but as far as I know they aren’t anti-gun.

Similarly, I quit donating to the Make A Wish foundation because they refused to take kids hunting.

    Who woulda thunk…?

  8. As a veteran myself, I abso-damn-lutely refuse to support an organization that coattails on OUR sacrifices, pain and struggles in order to maintain or advance a bullshit liberal PC agenda.

  9. They are off my sidebar and I’ll give their mail to Barkley. He loves chewing on things that smell like the postman).

  10. Interrogative Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Over?!?

So much for WWP getting any money from me.

    Anyone up for a googlebomb?

Especially with stories of how WWP accepted donations raised by people doing shooting events…

  11. Here’s the email I just sent. I am absolutely sick:

    Dear Sirs,
I breaks my heart to inform you that due to my discovery today, of your policies as listed in this article,
    http://gunsnplanes.blogspot.com/2012/11/wounded-warrior-project-rejects-gun.html
I will be removing the WWP magnet from my car, Taking the link to WWP off of my blog, removing WWP from my $5.00/week donation list, and I will not be participating in any more WWP fundraising activities.

Until you change your policies to show respect and appreciation to the multitude of gun owners who support our wounded warriors, I will give my donations to a less hypocritical veterans’ support organization.

I am sorry from the bottom of my heart, because you do great work; but it sickens me that you see my money as tainted, and you accept it anyway. Please discontinue all contact with me until your policy changes.

    Sincerely,

    Suzanne McCarley
    Strasburg, VA

  12. Look at Task Force Dagger. They sponsor vets at 3 gun matches.

I wrote WWP on their facebook page. Lot’s of folks hammering them now.

  13. They have a right to their opinion, and I to mine.
I’m disabled and took great pride in garnering their support on my blog. No more.
I’ll be removing my blog link today, and replacing it with something more suitable.
    Un f****** believable!

  14. Heck from what I’ve seen, aren’t we already our own organization???

I know who would be CEO and head cat herder

  15. At a certain point all good charities fail because they attract certain types that want to ‘help’ the unfortunate. Not seeing themselves there. I never liked Wounded Warriors because of their ads, but I liked that they were out supporting their improvement. So they don’t support my interests just take care of my wounded. I wish the VA could do a better job.

  16. Gerry- I will, thanks!

    gfa- yep… sigh

Instinct- Oh HELL no… I do enough of that crap at my real job… 🙂

    Earl- Excellent point!
