My Dogs are barking…

Well, I’m draggin ass… Today Wachenmacher Gun Show at Tulsa, OK I walked, and walked and walked… And I STILL haven’t seen everything (actually I’ve probably seen a third of the tables).

Met AEpilot-Jim here at the show, he is a super nice guy! Good blogger too, go visit him at Gun Toting Seagull.

Observations- If you want it, and it deals with firearms, knives, bows and arrows, it’s here!

Ammo was selling like hotcakes! I was talking to one dealer he said he had a half dozen sales over $5000 to individuals today, and had to bring in more pallets of .223 ammo TWICE!

AR-15’s and variants are also selling quickly, along with just about any accessories one could want, except .223 Otis cleaning kits in black (which is what I was looking for, of course)…

Some folks were getting good buys, of course, I was NOT one of them 🙂 Day late and and more than a few dollars short as usual!

That is all- Food and bed are calling!

  1. You may be a day late and a dollar short, but at least you’re having a good time it sounds like. 😉

Oh, and stay away from the brownies. They are distinctly calling MY name. 😛

  2. Roger the dragging ass, there NFO. It usually takes both days to see everything at the show. It was made worse this year by all the extra people.

EBR’s and ammo were the hot sellers. The only SKS I saw were the Yugos-in-the-grease offered by Military Gun Supply.

I got in early, but I left at 1500, because I figured I had everything I’d come for and I didn’t hear anything singing to me, as is the usual case.

Wonder if there will be an April show??

  3. Snigs- No brownies, but some GOOD jerky 🙂

Rick- I must have missed them… Not that I want one. It was a weird show and everybody is wondering about April too! Did you see the old folks selling the 1928 Thompson parts? They had ALL the pieces parts to build a full auto 1928 Thompson out of original material (and they were two tables over from the ATF).

Kvegas- It’s was interesting, especially since everybody was making sure they were complying letter of the law on all sales, and no one I talked to had any ‘hinky’ buyers show up.

  4. Okay – next time I’m DEFINITELY making the drive up for that one. How often is it? Quarterly? Twice a year? Once?
