Picshurs, as they say in Texas…

Finally got home and got to the right cable, so here are a few pics from yesterday’s blog meet at Phlegmmy’s place…

Yes, there was food 🙂 Actually there were three tables covered with food…

Goody counter early in the day… And yes, that IS the Para Ord Gun Blog .45 center left in the picture!

Goody counter later in the day, that bottle of tequila gives a WHOLE new meaning to the word shooter…

Comparison of Matt and Farmgirl’s hands. As they say in Texas, Matt is a big ol boy…

And one last picture of the goody table after EVERYBODY had gotten there… At that point, we were having to climb up on a chair to get everything in the picture 🙂

Oh yeah, all but two of these were carried concealed to the party…

And last but not least, Pig candy! Thanks to Breda for the recipe! Now as a few others have said, AEpilot Jim kinda went overboard for bacon, both at dinner and at the party…

  1. Hey, how’d you get a picture of my kitchen counter?

Sounds like a great time was had by all. Sure am jealous!

  2. Hmmm, mebbe just the perspective, but with big ole man-hands like that, did Matt conceal-carry a freakin’ AR?

  3. Jay- next time you gotta come 🙂

Murph- Actually Matt was carrying the Keltec 🙂

  4. Farm Dad- Trust me, she was stirring it up as hard as she could 🙂 Y’all did good with her!

  5. Quite a table top of treats. All I was carrying was a garrote, 300 feet of rope, some jumars, railroad flares, tape, signalling mirror, matches, flotation device and some oily rags so i didn’t put anything on the table.

  6. Robert- You Sir, had our backs though! If we were down to flares, you had us covered 🙂

    Jim- You’re STUCK alright… 🙂

  7. Breda is correct. There is no overboard when it comes to bacon.

I had a great time. What a great bunch of people.

  8. So Matt carried the .380 and Farmgirl the .44?

Or, should that be the other way around?

Well, at least my J-frame would have been comfortable with the other wheelguns.

  9. Crucis- Farmgirl carried the Walther PPK and the Star, Matt the Model 37 and Keltec 🙂

  10. The Walther PPK is mine, and the Firestar.

The Firestar is the steel brick that MattG has been making fun of… and he suggested I should return Farmdad’s Valentines Day gift to me (The Walther) and tell him that I don’t do re-blues.

I’m ignoring him on both counts 😀

  11. Farmgirl- Agreed 🙂 After all, as you said, you could THROW the Firestar at em and brain em…

  12. Isn’t that technically called two-tier defense?

Besides, it gives me something to do with my hands while I scream my shrill little head off that AEPilot Jim’s zombies are coming…

  13. Farmgirl- After meeting you, I somehow doubt you’d be screaming, other than foul abusive comments at the asshole as you practiced your two tier defense 🙂

  14. But I have a GOOD scream!

Way back when when I did my women’s self-defense post, I recommended that the ladies practice their scream for the most piercing, carrying tone. I wasn’t kidding.

(sorry about the late post, but I hadn’t scrolled far enough down the page to check this one in a couple of days 😛 )
