Customer Service: What is wrong with it?
Caller : Mouse is jammed.
Customer Service: Mouse? Printers don’t have a mouse you idiot!
Caller: Mmmmm??.. Oh really?… I’ll send you a picture.
Customer Service: Oh…

Back in the day of line printers the size of a small refrigerator, I worked for a computer company as a field tech. One night I received a service call. A night computer operator was changing paper in a large line printer. The front portion of the printer would swing open for access. After she installed a new box of paper, she closed the gate and got her hair entangled in the hinge. The computer sensed the closing of the gate and started the printer—causing more of her hair to get entangled. She was only able to reach the kill switch and a telephone to call for help.
She had waist length hair but after I got her extricated it was as short as a boot graduating from basic. I had to cut most of it off because it was too entangle to get out still attached.
Thereafter, the company required operators to have short hair or wear a hat.
Ohhh………
I was sure that someone had captured me while I was trying to fix the printer.

Back when I did tech support for a printer company for a while, I remember getting a call from a woman with a laser printer broken by her cat. Evidently the cat had been sleeping on it when she went to print something, and its tail had gotten pulled in. Luckily, the cat’s tail was unharmed, but it had bent the rollers on the printer.
This is very tragic story for a mouse to die like this. hopes that repair executive have the courage to repair the printer as I couldn’t do this myself. I would vomit if I was asked to do this kind of stuff.
Weird seems like funny, but I suppose this situation really exist.
😉 Computer technicians must know how to properly handle things like this.
