I was going to post a wonderfully snarky and brilliantly written comment that made fun of the Air Force.
Then I remembered that my beloved Navy adopted a camouflage uniform for shipboard wear, and I was too embarrassed to post my comment about the Air Force. Sigh.
The Navy camo uniform means that when somebody goes over the side, they go to meet Davey Jones because nobody can see them.

On the other hand, a carefully applied camo pattern of steam pipe white, machinery foundation gray, and deck plate terra cotta, would make machinery space snipes more invisible than any ninja.
As Rev. Paul and Fritz said, there is no sensible answer to the question of why a camouflage uniform.

The original Army Action Figures. So much fun playing in the dirt and mud with my “guys” shooting rubber bands as they charged with bayonets mounted, threw hand grenades, crawled in the dirt, etc. Yes, git her done! Back then, Dad being in the Airborne, our motto was “Geronimo!”

While our sailors can now wear digital camo to hide from the water, or mix khaki & Navy blue (looks like the laundry made a mistake), I recall being armed to the teeth with an IBM Selectric … keeping typewriters everywhere safe from Communist agression. There’s always been a streak of “silly” in the mix, if you look at it with a cynical eye.
Like most processes, it’s best if you don’t look too closely. 🙂

I have no right to be critical of any, but that made me chuckle
putting the air force and the NAVY in camo just shows how fricking ridiculous the military has become. We WILL not be able to fight a war with obama type people destroying our capability. That is PRECISELY what these evil idiots want.

Sheesh, all these remarks about uniforms. To think I got all sideways when we had to wear those stupid Babe Ruth baseball caps (circa 1966).
Worst uniform the Navy ever came up was the all blue pullover jumper thingy.I absolutely hated that thing. Only had to wear it for a year or so. Made the jump to E-7 and looked around and you couldn’t tell the Chiefs from the indians from a distance. Best working uniform was the blue chambray shirt and the dungerhalls!!!!
These are out of date. I believe the newest action figures are rainbow colored, following the current trend with the CiC.
