What if…

Hillary Clinton said the Supreme Court “is wrong on the Second Amendment.” (Forbes Article) She was referencing the landmark decision District of Columbia v. Heller, in which the court ruled that law-abiding Americans have a right to keep a firearm in their home for self-defense.  If Hillary Clinton is elected president, she will nominate Supreme Court justices who would rule against the basic right to keep a gun in the home.

Clinton also said that a nationwide gun ban and confiscation scheme similar to that in Australia is “worth looking at.” (The Hill.com)

Are YOU willing to take that chance that she “didn’t really mean it that way”???

  1. It is worth remembering in all this nonsense that when the Constitution was being written, the privilege of self defence (and defence of family) was taken as read. The major concern of the Founding Fathers was to ensure that the government would never be able to take away the ability of the general citizens to defend themselves against the government — having just spent a couple of decades themselves, doing just exactly that. If one reads the Bill of Rights as a whole, that is precisely what it is all about.

And, of course, that is precisely what Hillary and the rest of the leftish elite would like to eliminate. It’s not just the Second Amendment they are after; it’s the entire Bill of Rights. Free speech? Look at a college campus. Freedom of worship? I don’t think so. Unreasonable search and seizure? Not so much any more. And so on.

  2. It is notable that EVERY totalitarian regime has disarmed it’s subjects. It is also notable that EVERY totalitarian regime has fortified it’s policing powers over it’s subjects.
Ian’s reply above is right on the mark.

  3. Ian/LL/Brig/Roger- I have to agree, sadly… And they also want to ‘police’ the internet for ‘language’… Can we say censorship?

  4. Sorta reminds me of the video showing the future in kaly. The man of the house calls the ‘authorities’ to get electronic permission to unlock the gun safe due to a burglary in progress – about the time the lock clicks the burglar has just finished dispatching him and now has free access to the gun. This one is a bit shorter and more to the point but the same principle applies – disarming honest Citizens does NOT stop criminals. Period
