SCOTUS…

If you’re a supporter of the 2nd Amendment, the Supreme Court is really what this election is all about…

The 60-second spot explains that the late justice, Antonin Scalia, was the deciding vote in affirming that the Second Amendment protects the right of an individual to keep a firearm in their home.  Scalia authored the majority decision in District of Columbia v. Heller in 2008.

Hillary Clinton has twice said she disagrees with the Heller ruling. At the third presidential debate, she said she, “disagreed with the way the court applied the Second Amendment in that case.” Earlier in her campaign, Clinton was recorded at a private event saying, “The Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment, and I am going to make that case every chance I get.”

Whoever wins the presidency on Nov. 8 will appoint at least one Supreme Court justice, and possibly as many as three or more additional justices. Americans cannot afford to elect a president who will stack the court with justices hostile to the Second Amendment.

“This election will determine the fate of the Second Amendment in America for the next 40 years. Law-abiding gun owners cannot afford to put someone in office who will eliminate their rights.” Chris Cox- NRA-ILA

SCOTUS… — 9 Comments

  1. We all should be aware of the consequences of the hildebeast being in power.
In the unfortunate event that the corruptocrat is elected, I strongly suggest that those of us that are wise enough to be reloaders to stock up on primers & propellant. Also .22 rimfire ammo. We all remember the “shortages” following obama’s election, so be prepared.

  2. My retired LEO friends are speaking of “voting from the rooftops” should the election go that way. But my magazines are also loaded, in case the entitlement wussies throw a tantrum when Trump wins.

    • Progs by definition are unarmed. I’m not concerned about them throwing a fit when Trump wins. Hopefully they will make good on their promise to leave and never return. But they lied and didn’t leave when GW Bush was elected – and I expect a replay.

  3. And the fact is if we don’t have the 2nd Amendment, we have nothing to back up the rest of the Amendments…no way to keep our freedom of speech, right to gather and protest, right to worship who/what/how you want, to vote, to be free from search or seizure, or the right to a trial by “a group of peers”, etc. The potential threat of deterrence by ordinary people of their government. Look through history, how many nations that have guns “freely” available to their people are ruled by the people and not by tyrants, and how many of those had those weapons seized and how is the nation run now?

There are how many gun owners in this country? If any of them vote for Clinton, they are just plain nuts. Anyone who hunts, any retired or current military (did you bring home a souvenir?), anyone who has an heirloom gun handed down from previous generations, likes to shoot skeet, ducks, deer,or just plain old targets cause Grandpa showed ya how? That has got to be a crap-load of folks. Why would any of them vote for someone who has said they support a program of mandatory gun confiscation, which is what the Aussies did…
For crying out loud, there are bunches of gun owners even in NY, MA, CT and PA…Okay, maybe not as many as in TX, OK and TN, but still!! And Scalia supported lots of other conservative causes, not just the 2nd Amendment ones.

Can’t wait til Nov 8! I’m tired of political commercials…I miss the pushy car ads 🙂

  4. The SCOTUS can rule any way it wants.
The Constitution says what it says.
If we have to give them “reading lessons” so be it.

  5. Roger- Point!

WSF/Rev/LL/Rick- Good points, and no, they won’t leave this time either…

Suz- LOL, pretty bad when you miss the car ads! And you’re right, 400-600 Million guns in the US, good luck with that…

    Stetch- Agreed!

  6. Let her do her worst. We’re going to have this out eventually, I’d rather them overeach while we’re strong.

*I’d rather be left alone and not even think about how bad this will be, but in the immortal words of Captain Parker…
