Really???

Sooo… The facts are that a 18YO Somali refugee used a car and a butcher knife yesterday at OSU, right?

It apparently doesn’t matter that the suspect who stabbed at Ohio State University students with a butcher knife didn’t have a gun – or that the attacker was stopped by armed police officers – or that the college is a gun-free zone – because Democrats wasted no time Monday before they began demanding gun control.

Yep, the usual suspects really DID go there… Read it HERE. No, the Kaine and Sheila Jackson-Lee tweets are not fakes… Sigh…

Texas Governor Abbot had a different perspective-

Texas has an open-carry law on its college campuses, and had a similar law been in place in Ohio, students at Ohio State University could have acted quickly to stop an attacker who used his car and a butcher knife to target other students, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said Tuesday.

Full article, HERE.

And to add ‘icing’ to the cake, the Democrats are saying they will fight reciprocity tooth and nail, HERE.  Since it takes 60 votes to overcome a filibuster, that could pose a problem. And once again the Dems are willing to go play on the third rail…

To what end??? Too early to tell whether this is pure bluster or not.

  1. I wonder if those University of Texas Austin students who were carrying sex toys on campus several months back would have used it against a knife wielding attacker. I would probably have died laughing just watching that ‘battle’ occur (take that – and THAT!!)

Good on Governor Abbott to go there – time to roll up our sleeves and get things done!

  2. I’m betting that the Senatorial filibuster won’t survive the next two years. Having lost the White House, the filibuster is the last remaining tool that the Democrats have in their tool bag, and, being Democrats, they’ll take it out and abuse it trying to stop Trump, Ryan and McConnell. First it will be killed for Supreme Court nominees, then for legislation. And Harry Reid has no regrets about nuking it 3 years ago.

  3. Just a small clarification: OPEN carry is banned on TX campuses; CONCEALED carry is allowed on 4-year, public college campuses in Texas. In August, the community colleges are added to the places where concealed carry is OK. The academics lost their s#!t over the idea of open carry, so that was specifically not allowed in the campus carry bill.

I’m a community college instructor, just waiting for the day when my Glock 42 joins me in front of my classes, out of sight in a deep concealment holster. You wouldn’t have believed the wailing, gnashing of teeth and pants wetting at a faculty meeting with the college pres. after the law passed! 🙂

  4. Given the continued losses by the Dems in Governors, State Legislators, Congress, and Trumps victory a few Senators of the(D) flavor might tell Chucky Schumer to pack sand. They want to win reelection and their constituents are pro firearms. Will that be enough to overcome the defecting RINOs? Who knows.

  5. Alaska Senator Mark Begich (D) was the turncoat who cast the deciding vote against the most recent ‘national reciprocity’ bill. Since Alaska is a Constitutional carry state, this didn’t sit well with local voters. It should be mentioned that a) Mr. Begich is now a former Senator, and b) other Dimocrits should be made to study that until they finally get it.

  6. “Old NFO”, as I’m sure you remember, Kaine (when Gov.)stepped on our Firearms rights here in VA. every chance he had with his veto power.

  7. It’s becoming surprising that libs are still alive since the level of their stupidity should mean that their bodies have forgotten to breathe.

  8. Every day that Sheila (won’t use her last names to discredit Honorable Men) manages to find enough brain cells to simply breath amazes me.
