Lawdog’s book!!!

The horse is already out of the barn, and has been since Friday, and the book is already showing up as a bestseller, but here we go anyway…

Is out!!! Lawdog has finally been coerced into the author world!

Click the image to get your copy! I’ve read it, and it’s by turns hilarious, poignant, and thought provoking.  I’d read some of these over the years on TFL, but it’s nice to have the WHOLE collection in one place (FINALLY)…

The Blurb-

LawDog had the honor of representing law and order in the Texas town of Bugscuffle as a Sheriff’s Deputy, where he became notorious for, among other things, the famous Case of the Pink Gorilla Suit. In THE LAWDOG FILES, he chronicles his official encounters with everything from naked bikers, combative eco-warriors, suicidal drunks, respectful methheads, prison tattoo artists, and creepy silent children to six-foot chickens and lethal chihuahuas.

THE LAWDOG FILES range from the bittersweet to the explosively hilarious, as LawDog relates his unforgettable experiences in a laconic, self-deprecating manner that is funny in its own right. The book is more than mere entertainment, it is an education in two English dialects, Police and Texas Country. And underlying the humor is an unmistakable sympathy for society’s less fortunate – and in most cases, significantly less intelligent – whose encounters with the law are an all-too-frequent affair.

Don’t start it unless you have time to finish it before bed… Just sayin!

And if you’ve already got it, he’d appreciate an honest review.

  1. Anyone who has worked small town, small county law enforcement will relate to each and every file. If you haven’t, this is a window framed in gentle humor. WARNING: Do not read while drinking liquids unless you really need to spring clean your sinus cavities

  2. Thanks for the tip; I just downloaded the book. There goes my Monday evening…Started reading LD 15 or 20 years ago on some of the gun forums, so being able to read his best stuff (it’s all good) in one location will be a treat. And heed Chuck’s warning.

  3. The only problem with this book is that it ends. 😉 I devoured it over work. Since I’ve read almost every story already it wasn’t hard.

  4. I’ve got a long flight coming up. I’m forcing myself to wait until then to buy it. Otherwise, I’ll devour it immediately.

  5. Not only don’t have drinks in hand when reading, also have a box of Kleenex handy. The first few chapters had me in tears I was laughing so hard, then I was in tears over the next one because…well…it’s just very dusty here.
And don’t read this in the evening, or after your dearly beloved has gone to bed…you will wake up folks. Just saying.

Bottom line: Go buy this book!!

  6. I suspect sales are about to really take off. The book just got mentioned on Instapundit.

  7. Thanks to you, Peter, Dorothy, and anyone else who got him off the dime, and got this committed to paper (or, in some cases, electrons). It’s long overdue, both for the folks who’ve followed his blog, and for him, someone who’s been hiding his lights under a basket for quite some time.

  8. Dang It, acc to kindle elists, he’s # 1 in 3 categories of Kindle ebooks. Guess he’s an over decade success.
