Sigh…

I put this rant up on Friday on FB after hearing that Flake had been buffaloed into the BS extension of Kavanaugh by the Dems.

Welp, Flake flaked… He bowed to his democrat masters, and got another dig in at Trump… Now he’s put the administration in a position to FORCE an FBI investigation… And delayed Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

This congress is an abortion! The dems, led in this case by Feinstein,Harris, and Hirono are determined to destroy America as we know it. They don’t give a shit about anything but power, and will do anything, destroy anyone, whatever it takes to get that power.

If this isn’t a perfect example of why we need term limits, I don’t know what is…

Hold data for at least 6 weeks, drop it at the last minute, push the confirmation vote a week, pay for the lawyer, lie through their teeth to the members of the committee, and I wonder what they threatened Flake with, this morning…

Now they will have another week to ‘find’ more accusers, attempting to push this beyond the November election… And continue the destruction of the impartiality of congress…

We all know this is not going to be the end of it… It’s not going to be a week, It’ll be two, or three, or four weeks, and IF they FBI gets the reports in, then the Dems will want the witnesses to appear… yada, yada, yada…

And it generated a number of comments, some back and forths with a Dem or two, who didn’t like my answers, especially about the Dems leadership rotting in hell, which she took personally.

Putting up Galatians 6:7  wasn’t appreciated either- ‘Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap’.

So Saturday a poor me post went up… Sigh… I guess she ‘thought’ everyone would side with her, which didn’t happen and now it’s ‘our’ fault.

I never said ALL who are in that party are evil? Never will say that. But if you are going to support the representatives of the party, especially after they come out and specifically SAY how they want to take us down, how can you escape being lumped in with them? If you vote for them, you are fostering their evil agenda. That is why the huge push for open borders, illegals (that they immediately get on welfare), and the other disaffecteds.

Are their evil people in the Republican Party? Absolutely. But you will never hear one of them espousing the evil Anti-America, pro-communist, pro-tyrant. pro-activist judges agenda that the Dems are OPENLY promoting, because the Republicans KNOW they will lose the support of the voters for such. The Dems are seeking the votes of those who hate America, and hate Americans. Huge difference.

This abortion of a SCOTUS confirmation has lowered my opinion of BOTH parties even further, and it’s just one more example for the billboard of getting term limits, as far as I’m concerned.

As an independent, I can no longer support ANY incumbents, not anymore…

I know I’m a grumpy old man, but dammit I didn’t spend most of my life defending this country to watch it get destroyed by a bunch of sleazy, power hungry politicians, just so they can line their own pockets and build their little empires!!!

  1. Amen, brother — you’re not the only grumpy old man! And being a former spook and a historian, I’m even more upset than you… perhaps…

  2. Grumpy young man here (mid 30s). I wish I could disagree, but I can’t. What I’m seeing is, and has been, a deliberate, concerted, and coordinated effort to not only destroy the America that is, but prevent the America that should be, that was designed to be, from ever realising existence. Attacks on Constitutionally guaranteed rights (among them freedom of thought and expression, the right of self armament, and due process), deliberate Balkanization asking not only racial and ethnic lines but also wealth envy, sexual equipment and proclivities, and importation and cultural incubation of a set of permanent underclasses, all set against each other yet dependent upon governmental largesse, with the looming shadow of massive and unaccountable bureaucracy following our every move in order to pass arbitrary and unappealable judgement upon us at the whim of those who believe themselves to be our betters.
We didn’t dig this hole overnight, though, and digging back out is not, had not been, and will not be, either easy or fast. The hole is deep, and there are many who prefer the cozy dank dampness of mud and rot. It should come as no surprise that they insist upon collapsing the edges above us and attempting to drag us back down, so that their own choices can be affirmed by our presence along side them in misery.
But we are digging out. Dirt from the broken lip of the hole may be landing on our faces, and the screaming lotus eaters may be attempting to drag us back by the shoelaces, but daylight is in sight.

    • Kermit,
Your sentence beginning “Attacks on Constitutionally” may be the longest I’ve ever read that actually made sense. Well said, sir!

    • i hope that daylight is in sight and will be reached!

  3. Go for it.

And while we’re at it, why not Bill Clinton? And half the prog morons of Hollywood? We should be using stuff like this to take those a-holes to the woodshed.

  4. The current Democratic leadership finds itself in quite a predicament. On the one hand, the future of their party points to Socialism and eventually the utter foolishness and destruction called Communism. They are smart enough to realize that that way lies either the destruction of America or the destruction of the Democratic Party, or both. However, they can’t bear to shift to the right as America is. On the other hand, they can’t bear to lose their power so they engage in media circuses like the Kavanaugh hearings. They reveal themselves as clowns to all.
What happens when, despite their best or worst efforts, Kavanaugh is confirmed, then they don’t gain a flood of mid-term seats? Do they quietly fold their tents and fade into the night, or do they continue to spread poison, not realizing that successful revolutions always destroy their leaders?
Buckle up, Buttercup! It’s going to be a bumpy ride!

  5. Wish I could say I was surprised to hear Jeff Flake had folded because I wasn’t. I had such a headache by the time I got home on Thursday, every patient I saw had the hearings on. I could not believe the questions/statements I was hearing on live television from Democrats. And I was at one patient’s house when Graham had his time, so I got to hear that in it’s entirety.
It is just so sad that people who are supposed to work for us, “we the people”, have gone so far astray. Michigan is mostly a blue state, thanks to the Unions, however, there are a lot of folks like WSF who feel the same way. They see a guy, who, like them goes to church, and has a nice family, and coaches the local ball team, and is bring dragged eyeball deep through the mud. One gentleman, who is a vet, said he couldn’t believe folks were chasing after shadows like this gal’s story. That there were no facts there. He has PTSD, was in Nam, and he said he just wished he could forget the details, but not a chance.
I didn’t tell him, but I completely agree. I remember being assaulted when I was 15, which was 45 years ago. I couldn’t tell you the day, but I remember the time of year, the neighbor who came along and “saved the day”, and all the other details. Especially the who. And no, I didn’t tell my folks. But I also didn’t let it rule or ruin my life. I learned and moved on.
But my question is why are we dragging up BS that allegedly happened during high school for a Supreme Court seat? Reading a high school yearbook? Really?!?! All kinds of crap gets written in those. Why should we care about high school stuff?!?!
We should be hearing about every opinion he has ever written or participated in since graduating from college, not what his recreational activities were in college. Ever meet a college student who didn’t drink lots?
Especially one who was a student in the 80’s??
If he had had a serial sexual predator problem, I feel confident it would have shown up in one of the 5 earlier FBI background checks, but nothing ever did. Hell, there have been rumors about Bill Cosby and 98.99% of the Hollywood types for, like, ever!
I had 2 thoughts about this circus on Friday as it dragged on…one was for how sorry I felt for his family, neither his girls nor his wife signed up for any of this. And, exactly what are we being distracted from paying attention to while we are watching this train wreck happen???
I hope there is a wave in November, and I hope it washes all of the socialist progressive American haters way out to sea so that they need to get a job in the real world, and have to live in the real world instead of fantasy land.

    • What you said, Suz. Especially your 2nd thought. What is going on behind the curtain that they (the dems) don’t want us to see?

  6. For some reason, I’m thinking of the competing constitutional convention in /Kansas Territory, round 1857. Topeka: free state. Atchison: slave state (see Missouri Compromise).

This was state 34, the 1/3 +1 filibuster breaker in the Senate. Topeka Convention had to be de-legitimized and fought by any means necessary. They never thought they’d lose. When they did lose, they set off an unexpected powder train.

I’m hoping it won’t happen, but I’m looking for a couple of big berms in case.

  7. Here is an interesting take on the committee vote—

    https://voat.co/v/theawakening/2753184

Read it, then click on the video link and go to the 4:40:00 mark as suggested and watch to the end. Fienswine seems to have been completely out maneuvered. Her “WHAT!?” as Senator Grassley drops the final gavel is priceless.

  8. And now people are wondering why men are “checking out” of society and going solo. The threat to a gymnastics/gym teachers, Boy Scout leaders, church leadership, or even parents are too great, based on the new rules that the Democrat party, media, and entertainment industry have invoked. As now can be seen, even if you live a perfect life, all it takes is one (or a few) idiots to take you down. It didn’t even have to happen, just the intimation that you did something wrong and the wolves come howling at your door, literally.
New rules have been created, now the rule-creators must be forced to live up to their rules!
Not quite old but grumpy man.

    • Addendum: Shortly after Trump’s election, I had a Rescue Squad leader, very Liberal, say to me “How did we get here?”
I didn’t have a quick answer as I like and respect the individual and what they’ve done for themselves, but didn’t agree with their politics.
In short – the recent elections have been a rebellion against what has been creeping into American society for a number of years. By nature, the U.S.A. is more conservative than most countries, and due to geographic isolation, framed and holds those causes. The representative majority (Electoral College was for a reason) spoke, but some folks, the ones who didn’t like the results, are having a first-rate meltdown.
I’ve done what I can to help, but I feel sorry for generations from here onward, it may not be pretty…

      • i also am sorry for real victims who will face tougher going when assaulters are reported to authorities.

  9. Suz on — thank you for your wonderful comment. I wish more people — not just those of us here — could read it.

  10. Right now, loyal but inoffensive democrats are in a precarious position. Much like that of most main-stream muslims of today or Irish-American Catholics of the 50s-70s. They, the loyal but inoffensive Ds, are openly supporting the violent extremists of their party. Thus, they, the LoiDs, are complacent in the offensive and, from my point of view, illegal actions by the senior leadership of the Democratic party.

Much like main-stream muslims who don’t denounce the horrors committed by the extremists and actually fund the ‘charities.’ Or the Irish-American Catholics who sent money to ‘the old country’
    and supported the IRA.

Right now is the time for the rank-and-file Dems to show their support not for their extremist fellows or extremist leadership, but for the America that allows them to live not in a Soviet-style police state. Even though they have done too darned good a job at making us a Soviet-style police state since the 1990s under Billy Jeff.

Let the little lady have hurt feelers. Tough nuggets. She’s actively supported trashing the Dream. Time for the blinders to come off.

There’s a reason the #WalkAway movement is real, and is quite powerful. Even in the People’s Democratic Republic of AlachuaCountystan, there are a lot of leftists who finally have had the blinders ripped from their faces and now are seeing the real world. It’s amazing, watching all the mole-people blink in pain as the light of reason hits them. My only hope is that the light takes hold and lasts.

  11. You say not all Democrats are evil.
I’ve been saying those who vote Democrat are either stupid, ignorant, or evil.
If stupid I feel sorry for you.
Ignorant I am offended by your lack of Education for awareness or concern for either.
    If evil, repent.
Regardless, change your ways or suffer the fate of the evil.

  12. All- Thanks for the comments, can’t disagree with anyone. RHT- That was ‘after’ Flake got cornered by the Dems, led by Cook in the anteroom…

    Posted from my iPhone.

  13. Yeah, I’m at an 8 on the 0 to Claire Wolfe scale of how to fix the government.

    And they’re begging for it.

  14. I wonder if any of those senators know what a tumbrel is.

  15. Yeah, not all Democrats are evil. There are still good people among registered Democratic Party voters. The Party itself is evil, but has been for quite some time.

There were good people in the Nazi party. That business man in China who protected people from the Japanese. That SS Judge who made sure to prosecute Nazis for the horrible things they did which were actually criminal under the law of the Third Reich.

There were good people in the Imperial Japanese government. That guy in Europe who arranged the paperwork to get a lot of Jews out.

That there exist good people in a large organization does not mean that the organization is not evil. Bureaucracies are not perfect at selecting people, and even an extremely evil large organization will have good people.

This is why despite my opposition* to Trump, his take on Charlottesville was more correct and more appropriate to the Presidency than that of many of the other commentators. Yes, empathizing the good people in an organization that aspires towards recreating the Third Reich is blindness of moral judgement. Empathizing the good people in an organization that aspires towards recreating the Soviet Union is also blindness of moral judgement. Communist backed or organized protests are as contemptible as neo-Nazi protests. I think he should have condemned both, but what he did do would have been appropriate for many circumstances, and was less wrong than what very many people were demanding.

*I am unconvinced that Trump has repented or reformed from being a Democrat. I am only prepared to vote for Democrats under the exact same extremes of necessity under which I might vote for a self-proclaimed and self identifying outright Nazi. Trump failed to meet the criteria I had established for such. He may yet meet those criteria come 2020.

There are good people in the Democratic Party.
