Voter suppression…

By another means???

Interesting to note that last Wednesday/Thursday all of the MSM came out almost simultaneously with almost identical articles on how the Dems were going to take 40 seats next Tuesday, saying the races were ‘all over’. This was combined with Pelosi going on some TV program saying she IS going to be the next speaker. The logical extension was don’t bother voting, it’s a done deal…

Kinda reminds me of 2000 and the voter suppression of the military absentee ballots- When the NYT admits it’s as bad as they did in the article, you can take a guess at how bad it really was, HERE. And CNN et al tried to call Florida for Gore before the polls had even closed in Escambia County (Pensacola), which is what swung Florida to Bush. And the MSM was quickly calling states for Gore, while suppressing the calls for states where Busy was winning. That went on most of the night.

We’re already hearing how two ‘districts’ in VA and one in Kentucky will ‘decide’ the races nationally, saying they will presage the democrats blue wave.

I’m to the point that I believe they should NOT be able to ‘call’ races until the morning of 7 November, AFTER everyone has actually voted.

On another note, there is this video from Project Veritas…  Robert ‘Beto’ O’Rourke’s (4th gen Irish, without a lick of Hispanic background), whose campaign workers spending campaign funds illegally for the illegals, apparently WITH the blessing of the campaign manager Jody Casey.

The TL:DR is:

“I just hope nobody that’s the wrong person finds out about this.”

“It’s f***ing happening.” O’Rourke Campaign Staff Uses Pre-Paid Cards for Honduran Alien Supplies

“Don’t ever repeat this…” Campaign Staffers Explain How to Hide Campaign Expenditures for Aliens

“If you get caught in some sort of violation that’s like a $50,000 fine,” “For me I can just ignore the rules and I’m like f**k it.”

Staffer Says She Sent Texts to Director; Told Campaign Manager Jody Casey, Who Says “Don’t Worry”

If a Republican had been caught like this, it would be page 1, and the lead on every newscast simultaneously! A Dem? Crickets… Project Veritas caught Gillum’s campaign in Florida doing something similar, and ‘that’ individual was let go, with the campaign complaining the video was racist… Sigh…

As far as I’m concerned, the slogan should be VETO Beto… Seems that ‘most’ of his money has come from the left coast and NYC. An interesting note, his ads ONLY appear on national TV, whereas Ted Cruz is running his ads on local channels.

As for his being called ‘Kennedyesque’, not so much, other than family bailing his ass out and keeping him out of jail at least twice…

Voter suppression… — 15 Comments

  1. This is nothing new in the 2000 election the media was calling Florida for Gore before the polls closed in the Panhandle. Another thing to watch is if the democRAT is ahead by the margin of error in the polls they will call the race for the democRAT. The republican has to be ahead by almost double the margin of error before they will call it for the republican but only if the polls are closing. The last thing to watch is Washington State. If the republican is ahead The democRATs will magically “FIND” just enough votes to win (Usually from the Seattle Area) An interesting side note here is there are NEVER any extra votes “found” from rural Washington state which is a republican area.

  2. It made little difference, but in 1964 I remember CBS, NBC and ABC Calling the election for Johnson a couple of hours before the polls closed in California. California at that time was pretty much evenly split between Republicans and Democrats (Regan was elected Governor at the next election). A lot of Republicans just didn’t vote when they got home from work and watched the evening news.

  3. The dimocrats are particularly good at convincing people to change their party affiliation. A good example was my dad, a rock ribbed Republican, he voted the straight Repub ticket until the day he died.
Then he switched & for the next 20 years, he voted for any and every dimocrat on the ballot.

  4. I an sooo ready to see some other commercial than political ones it isn’t even funny. Not to mention with all the mailers we have been getting, the Post Office must be back in the black again…my recycle bin is overflowing with those stupid things!

I would agree that no one should be declared the winner until the next day. All the same day stuff is just for TV ratings anyway…

  5. Sabre- Interesting point, I didn’t stay up that late. Thanks!

NRW- Yep, my mother was ‘less’ than happy with that.

    Roger- Ouch…

    Suz- Agreed!

  6. Here in Alachua County, for a long time the Republican Headquarters would get their windows shattered at least once during a major election. And no matter how good the security system was, surprisingly no one was ever charged.

    So, yeah, not surprising.

I feel the results should not be posted till certified. After all the absentee and military ballots are counted. So if it takes days or a week to certify the ballots for a state, so be it. And no polling or reporting of polls until after the last poll station in US territory is closed.

I also feel that the voting ought to be one 24 hour period, running from midnight to midnight, EST. So if you’re Central time, 1AM to 1AM, Mountain 2AM to 2AM, Pacific 3AM to 3AM and so forth, all the way to the furthest polling time zone.

No computerized voting. Must have paper ballot. At the end of the election, midnight EST, all votes go right to the counting location, and then after the count is certified, locked away for 4 years.

And, of course, Voter ID. To get a Voter ID, you must have a Safe ID identification card already, or follow the same rules (certified birth certificate or nationalization papers and such.)

Enact these changes, nationwide, required by 2020.

This won’t stop all the election fraud and suppression, but it will stop a good portion of it. And it will help smaller states and rural sections of more populated states get better representation.

    I know, a pipe dream, but, well, I can dream, can’t I.

I’d even support a purple flourescent thumb ink. Heck, I’d wear that ink proudly!

  7. Win at any cost seems to prevail these days. What is needed, IMO, is sure cost if you lose anyway. Sure, personal, and financially painful.

  8. I Sleepy Sessions doesn’t wake up and start prosecuting those crooked clowns in the O’Rourke campaign for FEC criminal violations, the next time the hidden camera won’t be Project Veritas, it’ll be a death squad, and there will be no appeal.

And ZFG:BFYTW will be the calling card left behind.

When you make peaceful revolution impossible, you make violent revolution inevitable.” – JFK

  9. Of course, NOW we KNOW the enemedia is LYING to us, both baldly and badly.

  10. On a state level here in Virginia I’d make it a law counties must report their results in alphabetical order. That way Alexandria and Arlington won’t be able to “find votes” to swing the state.

    • Or perhaps results should be reported in reverse order by population
      – that is, in descending in order from most populous to least.

  11. Hey Old NFO;

Here in GA, the democratic candidate Abrams gets a huge chunk of her money from out of state, the GOP candidate gets most of his inside the state and that doesn’t seem to make the news much.

  12. VETO Beto – I like that ! I did that already during Texas early voting.

  13. The fake hispanic irishman is running for 2020. He wants to be our “first hispanic” president. Remember when he skateboarded into a campaign apperance? Iowahawk dubbed him “Skateboard Jesus” and I think that is an apt moniker for him.
