A Response to Joan Peterson…

I’d been working on a post to respond to Joan, as I’m really sick and tired of the ‘games’ being played with the victims of ALL violence…

However, in taking a break I went over and read a few blogs this morning and was stunned by the cogent response Minuteman has written.

Go HERE and take a few minutes to read his post.  He said everything I wanted to say, and did it much better than I ever could.

We, the concealed carry community, chose NOT to be victims, and we are willing to help anyone who wants the ability to fight back.

A Response to Joan Peterson… — 12 Comments

  1. Heh, the word verification is subgr, wonder if they meant subguru :).

Thanks for the comments, I think I’m going to have to write up a post thanking everyone tonight. I wrote it expecting it to be just a minor blip on the radar.

I know from time to time I can be very eloquent, as I wrote it I did not think this was one of those times.

  2. TheMinuteman’s post was fantastic! The people about whom he blogged just have a disconnect, being ‘secure’ in their victimhood but not in their persons.

Oddly enough, word verification is ‘tramp’. Maybe blogger is trying to tell me something (or is just calling me names).

  3. WONDERFUL PIECE! Too bad Peterson will never get it. Tell the Truth, I think she’s a Border-line Cultist, who knows the TRUTH, and would go down in Flames rather than admit she’s wrong.

  4. A sovereign individual takes responsibility for protecting themselves against the “hoard”. And they take responsibility for their choice of methodology. Firearms are but one of several appropriate choices.

They also take responsibility for training themselves and preparing – and for the liability associated with using said ‘preparation’ on a person, dog, or combination of the two (prison population inside or outside the joint).

Walk softly, carry a big stick.

  5. Joan is a sad, sad woman. She could have taken responsibility and reported the abuse against her sister but she never did and so things went from bad to fatal. Now she refuses to accept her part and wishes to go after all those who do take responsibility for their own safety.

  6. WSF- Sadly, I agree…

MM- I can only thank you for that post!

MC- Yep! and you don’t want to know what WV has called me a few times… 🙂

    Les- Concur

    LL- Well said, as always!

    Andy- You’re right

Quiz- Sadly, I think you’re right too!

  7. Great pot by MM!
It occurred to me while reading it, that this crowd in making a distinction between “gun violence” victims and “violence” victims reflects their predilection to make “hate” crime distinctions from “crime” crime.

  8. Quiz’, on the contrary, they are not taking over. We are winning our rights back, albeit slower than we wish, but with Alan Gura’s and others we have almost stopped this train.
The facts are in our court, Joan has only ‘feelings’ and a diminishing audience.
