From the Freeh Report–
“Four of the most powerful people at The Pennsylvania State University — President Graham B. Spanier, Senior Vice President-Finance and Business Gary C. Schultz, Athletic Director Timothy M. Curley and Head Football Coach Joseph V. Paterno — failed to protect against a child sexual predator harming children for over a decade.”
Not only that, they didn’t give a rats ass about the child, and they TOLD Sandusky he was seen, and by whom!!!
Paterno was deeply involved and ONLY concerned with protecting the football program. s far as I’m concerned, this deserves the death penalty from the NCAA for Penn St football…
And there will be HUGE set of settlements out of this, and the taxpayers of Pennsylvania will be footing the bill.
It’s sad how people can slide into true evil – and then find all sorts of ways to justify it and make it “normal”. I wonder if their football program will be suspended for a period of time . . .
Permanent death penalty.
It’s not about lawsuits trying to pay people for their damage, it’s about the fundamental lack of character to ACT DECISIVELY.
In our wishy-washy politically correct nation we have collectively lost the will to call a spade – a spade. And in doing so, it’s infected us with moral relativism. It’s that very trait that will cause our demise more than any other factor and it’s what propelled Barack Hussein Obama into the White House.
I don’t follow sports of any kind, and this kind of behavior illustrates why!
eia/LL- Yours and LL’s comments BOTH hit the nail on the head!
Alan- Agreed!
Gaffer- Yep…
Beyond reprehensible.
Agirl- Yep in a word…
OK, good to see some “top dogs” nailed.
Wonder how many players, equipment personnel, hell, janitors, suspected or knew what was going on?
WSF- Apparently quite a few, who were in fear of their jobs, and didn’t report it…
Gutless shits!
To quote the Late Sen.Daniel Patrick Moynihan We are defining deviancy down.
WSF- Yep…
Rick- Good point!
