It FINALLY stopped raining here, at least for a couple days anyhow. I’ve been wanting to get that last mowing done for a while now and perhaps it’ll happen at last. Pleas don’t send more water up this way. The flooding is finally starting to ebb.

Try this…it may work. Open Word, then click on File, Options, Save. If your settings to Autosave are checked, browse the folder(s) listed to see if there is anything in there you can use.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your work. But Word usually saves a copy of work in progress; I’m hopeful that someone can talk you through a recovery of the backup file.

There I was, almost sound asleep at 0530, when a blood-chilling shriek cut through the walls and halls of the dorm. Freshmen spilled out of the rooms, carrying all sorts of thing we were not supposed to have in the dorm, and ready for bear…
Someone had written all night and had not saved their document. Not once. Hit the wrong button at 0530. No document. The final paper for the entire semester grade was due at 1000. Computer help desk opened at 0930.
This was back in the 1990s. I’m still paranoid about saving and backing up everything.
All- I tried all the tricks, and called a pro from Dover this morning, no such luck one corrupted temp file with 100 bytes in it and that was it 2 o’clock yesterday so the 2500 words is history. One of these days I’ll learn…
