Ill Wind…

An ill wind is sweeping this country…

It’s in the form of more and more government regulation; which, in my opinion, is badly flawed…

Why was TARP done, and the bailout? To save us? Nope, to save big business and unions that had paid to get this administration elected and now wanted their payback…

Health care was passed by bribery and coercion, plain and simple…

To expect health care to be cheaper, provide more services, and cover an additional 12-30 million is frankly absurd. There are not enough doctors now, and more and more of them are getting out of Medicare/Medicaid and that reimbursement will only go down. The ONLY way things will get cheaper is if less services are provided, and whom will that affect the most? Children and the Elderly… those who need it the most…

The new financial regulation bill has passed, but there is not yet a bureaucracy in place to actually manage all that oversight, and where are they going to actually GET experts (on a government salary no less), who will be willing to do this oversight??? And why were Freddie and Fanny excluded? They are money pits where our tax dollars are being poured to keep bad loans afloat for those who should NEVER have gotten mortgages in the first place…

Retired Admiral Blair resigned as the Director of National Intelligence yesterday, and he is the fourth director to leave in five years…

This is an “agency” that is supposed to be the pinnacle of intelligence within the government, yet they have no authority, no money, and no power to make real, substantiative changes needed to actually make the intelligence community function correctly. My personal belief is that it is only a matter of time until we have a major attack here in the US by terrorists; and after the fact we will find that the information WAS available, but due to turf battles, “I’ve got a secret” mentalities at the agency’s, and lack of cooperation it could have been avoided.

The administration has not seen fit to increase military spending to allow replacement of sadly worn equipment, and in fact most if not all the services are facing hundreds of millions of dollars in deferred maintenance; with FY-11 funding being effectively cut due to the administration’s intent to NOT separately fund the war, but make the services take it from their base budgets…

Additionally, Gates either on his own (which I doubt), or by direction, is pushing to limit pay raises for the troops, saying the out year costs are too high and the troops are better paid than their civilian counterparts. WTFO??? I don’t see any civilians going over there and putting THEIR lives on the line for us, much less giving up years away from family to stand and protect us on the front lines…

Immigration and the border… All the Arizona law does is mimic the Federal law, and gives enforcement authority to State personnel, since the administration won’t secure the border.

President Unicorn stood smiling next to Calderon as he railed against our immigration policies, while never admitting his own are MUCH more strict (see my last post). Also, he ‘demanded’ we re-institute the assault weapons ban to “prevent” weapons from coming into his country…

Guess what Bud- Most of those weapons are coming from YOUR armed forces that either defect, or are bribed, or look the other way when armories are being robbed… You can’t buy M-2 machine guns over the counter up here, nor hand grenades, nor full auto M-18’s or AKs…

And speaking of guns, they will continue to go after ours any way they can, and with Reid looking at defeat, Chuck U Schumer is licking his chops, since he will be the HMFIC, and can bring all his energy to bear (and he REALLY hates guns), Kagen is not a friend either, and when she gets on the court, you can bet she will team with the others to prevent advancement of our freedoms…

Lastly, the oil spill… I believe this will be President Unicorn’s Katrina- While they are ‘selling’ that they have been involved since day one, it’s simply not true. And the blow up at the oil execs? Because it’s making him look bad… I believe he will use this spill as an excuse to draft drilling regulations that will be insurmountable, effectively preventing drilling forever off US shores, while China and others ARE drilling in the Gulf and reaping the benefits, while we continue to deal with spot prices and the Middle East…

What can we do? VOTE!

The 2010 elections are just around the corner, and we need to remember what this administration and the incumbents of BOTH parties have done to us… And we need to vote them all out…

REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER, and lets start taking back our country.

Ill Wind… — 18 Comments

  1. We’ve been on the soapbox, come November we’ll get our chance with the ballot box.
After that I fear we’ll have to resort to the cartridge box if we can’t get these bastards out of power peaceably.

  2. I posted something similar today, NFO. With all due respect sir, we can’t wait for November. Candidates are gearing up now and need financial support now. Or they will not stand in November.
And once again, with all due respect, I think we should not mention the cartridge box yet. It works against us. It could even appear as seditious or as a threat against the life of elected officials. We can not have patriots like you loosing your liberty, sir. We need you.

  3. I Hate to admit it, but I have been so disillusioned with voting, I’m not sure it makes any difference.
It seems clear to me that it’s all rigged before hand.
I used to really get out there and rally people to Vote, Vote, Vote.
And even if the person you tried to have faith in wins, they don’t follow through with their promises anyway.
The state of our country breaks my heart.

  4. Jim I hope that you have valid alternative candidates that you CAN vote for … and if you do, then voting these people in is definitely a step in the right direction.

  5. I hope there ARE elections in November.

I used to think of myself as tinfoil-hattish when I considered that scenario.

Now, not so much. That scares me.

  6. drjim- I truly hope not…

    Ed- Good points! thanks.

Best- Agreed, but I believe we MUST keep trying to keep this country viable.

    Julie- I’m trying…

Crusty- You’re not the first I’ve heard wondering about that…

    WSF- Thanks

Fuzzy- It will be a start…

    CS- Agreed, dammit…

  7. I like reading your blog. May I suggest adding some bran to your diet?

On a serious note, I’m interested in your opinion of Black Jack Pershing, and his treatment of negro soldiers in the American Military.

Maybe you could post a little something while you enjoy a bran muffin and some coffee.

God bless you and your family, living and deceased.

  8. Pablo- Pershing’s treatment of black and other ethnicities was piss poor, and that treatment continued through WWII until the Tuskegee Airmen were pushed by Elenore Roosevelt after she flew with them. Interestingly, during Vietnam, blacks congregated into predominantly black units when given the chance, and in many Army units, formed their own sub-units, some of which did outstanding jobs, and others not so much.

  9. Pablo, NFO, my uncle was in the US Cavalry in 1914 and went with Pershing into Mexico after Villa. Pershing treated his white troops just as bad as the “colored” troops. The Officer Corps at the time were trying to emulate the Prussians. The result was that few officers mingled with their troops and during firefight let the NCOs take over lest there be an “accident” of friendly fire.

Patton was one of the few who didn’t care what his troops thought because he’d intimidated them thoroughly. That also caused Patton to be left hanging in the breeze by his troops more than once. Patton was also one of the few officers who lead from the front.

  10. Crucis- Good point! Pershing was NOT well liked, but Patton DID try his damnedest to emulate him as far as attitude toward the troops. I got an interesting email from a buddy (also retired NFO) who is first generation American born (his folks are from Guadalajara, MX), his whole family is supportive of the AZ bill, because they came here legally, and spent the years doing it right. Their take is that all the illegals are giving THEM a bad name, which is not making ANY of the family happy. They live up in Frenso, so they see a lot of illegals coming through there.

  11. The Arizona Law is defective because it comes from proud men who meet together against God and His Christ.

    Illegal means illegal.

The big defect in the law is this:

An Officer questions someone, and that person provides a Driver License. End of Immigration check.

The Mexican Mafia, those friends of the Freemasons, have Department of Motor Vehicle workers on their payroll. Need a driver license, amigo? No problem.

Senator Pierce was told to link Driver Licenses and I.D. cards to certified copies of Birth Certificates. Besides a picture, the cards should also have a fingerprint to ensure only one person is using that I.D.

With certified documentation backing up documents, identity theft and citizenship become a moot issue.

Something is needed. It should not come from the Synogogue of Satan.

  12. “With certified documentation backing up documents, identity theft and citizenship become a moot issue.”

Good point Pablo, but how to actually make that happen is the issue, at least the way I see it.

  13. Dear Mr. NFO,

A Police Officer pulled a car over. The Officer, for whatever reason, switched the numerals on some of the plate numbers.

After approaching the driver, he was shot and killed.

Now, as of this week, the City of Phoenix has unveiled a new computer program that reads the plates by computer, freeing up the Officer. It provides in seconds, a picture of the vehicle owner, and if the car is stolen.

In the case of the murdered Officer, the right information given by him would have shown armed and dangerous call for back-up status.

These days, we can do anything. We have only the desire to do good that good things can happen.

The winds of change are blowing, but who will be left standing to make America the Home of the Brave and the Land of the Free again? It will be those people who are willing to stick their necks out and constantly challenge the status quo.

I go into the city office to pay my water bill. There are two boys there. One, by his demeanor, is homosexual; gay as he likes to call it. I always tell him to leave his sex choice at home, and come to work presentable and ready to work hard. I think I am making some progress as his supervisors seem to have made him take down the HEY! I’M GAY! sign.

At the school my grandchildren attend they know I will enforce with my Lawyer they will not teach my little ones they are girls in boys bodies. It was a hard struggle, Liberals don’t go down easy.

When I am speaking with my sons or friends and they mention their jobs, I tell them not to bring shame upon us by getting a gift wrapped pay check. Hard work never killed anybody, except for John Henry, that is.

When I see my Political representatives I get after them to do something right for a change. When they ask what it is they should do, I tell them strive to make everybody equally miserable, and they’ll be doing some good.

    Take a stand.

After June 12th, I will send you a comment on a stand we are taking right now that could affect several million unfortunate people.

In the meanwhile, God be with you and those you love.
