Blog Challenge- Kilted to Kick Cancer

Bend over and spread em…

And get checked for Prostate and Testicular cancers at EVERY physical, especially if you’re an old fart like me…

As I’ve pointed out before, Ambulance Driver has put up a blog challenge for Kilted to Kick Cancer, benefiting either Prostate Cancer Foundation or  LiveStrong supporting testicular cancer research…

The challenge is out there with some pretty nice prizes, but the BEST prize is potential cures for either of the cancers… We (guys) don’t have anything like the Susan G Komen Foundation, so we’ve kinda gotta do this more or less on our own…

So anyway, go support your favorite gun blogger, or get in on the prizes yourself by putting up links, or feel free to pick one of the links below and donate from here…

Prostate Cancer Foundation   OR   LiveStrong

I’d also like to thank those sponsors who’ve ponied up some pretty dang nice prizes… Those can be seen on AD’s blog HERE…  Even if you don’t donate, at least patronize those fine folks who’ve donated the prizes, they are definitely worth supporting!!!

  1. Like on a regular basis already. Dad’s maternal uncles had prostate problems. Got one that is slightly enlarged, myself. And I get the full monty, if you will, on a real regular basis. Including a borescope every few years.

  2. I hate those exams!

But it isn’t it cool that Virginia Arms is offering a Ruger 22/45? Gonna have to go down there and spend more money.

  3. Lila- Don’t own one 🙂 And no, it would NOT be a pretty picture… 🙂

ORPO- Yep, I get checked every year too.

    Carteach0- That he is…

Andy- Yep, but if they save your ass, they are worth it!

    WSF- Yep, but see above…

    Frank- Point 🙂

  4. My Dad’s was detected early. Sure, he was a bit embarrassed but he’s still here, 10 years later, still playing golf at age 91.

  5. The finger-wave and the ubiquitous PSA test are something guys just have to get used to.

And if necessary, the biopsies are very uncomfortable….but they are not as bad as dying from cancer.

  6. Brigid- Can’t ask for more 🙂 A little discomfort is worth the multiple extra years!

    LL- Agreed!!!

  7. What’s up, its good post about media print, we all be aware of media is a impressive source of data.
