It’s Baacckkk….

The X-37B finally landed yesterday at Vandenberg AFB early yesterday morning after 469 days on orbit.  The interesting part was, it was ONLY supposed to be up there about 270 days.

Now the ‘interesting’ part is, nobody knows what it is really doing…LOL

But it is a pretty damn neat program, and kinda like a mini-space shuttle, it has a multiply programmable payload bay (about the size of a pickup truck bed); and who knows what they’re carrying.  This is one of the few successful test bed programs that is really working!

  1. If it’s a successful program (initiated under Bush), then it’s likely that Obama will declassify everything and blurt it out on MSNBC to try and improve his chances of getting re-elected!

    What a country!

  2. Ed- Yep… sigh

WSF- The ‘remote’ pilot needs to see the runway 🙂

    Andy- It is!

LL- Hope not, but wouldn’t be surprised…

    AOA- Point!

  3. It should have a paint job just like the enhanced infra-red colors.

In fact – that would be fun to do to an old car. Yellow and red for the hot engine areas. Blue and black for other ‘cool’ places. Then wear a dark red body suit while driving.

  4. It was setting up all the docking stations for the UAV’s that will tracker speeders, everyone knows that 🙂

  5. There was no landing.

    There is no X-37B program.

Move along folks, nothing to see here…

    It was a weather balloon.
