I have heard rumblings in the blogosphere since the Bengazi events have transpired that there is much to this and a video was the excuse for it. This confirms what I have been hearing and the Obama didn’t want to be disturbed so he would be ready for his fund raiser in Vegas.

I think it’s a combination of incompetence and not having the best interests of the country and those who serve it at heart. Obama is in it to win the election, and when you’re running as the man who calmed the storm and ushered in a new time of peace, it’s not good to be seen as the guy who used CAS in a city to keep people alive.
Of course, if you’d rather be known as the guy who stood up for what’s right, you call down the hammer of the gods to protect those guys.

The Agency just got retribution for years of having the Administration ignoring their advice as well as disclosing Classified information. The Agency realized that the Administration would not act on their requests for support, and are now pinning the failure directly on the Administration. One unloved Administration taken out of the picture.
Bonus points to the Agency, they got back at the Clintons for ignoring advice and intel as well. Remember, the Clintons failed to act on Bin Laden originally, and gave a very limp-wristed response to the Cole bombing. Now the Clintons are caught in the middle of the Urination Olympics and have no real future politically.
