NO real surprise here, after all he IS one of the ‘elite’…
Irvin Nathan, the attorney general for the District of Columbia, announced Friday that he will not press charges against NBC News’ David Gregory nor any employee of the broadcast network for violating the city’s gun laws. Violation of the city’s firearms laws carry a maximum $1,000 fine and one year in jail.
Mr. Nathan wrote to an attorney representing Mr. Gregory and NBC News, Lee Levine of Levine Sullivan Koch & Schulz, LLP, that, “OAG has made this determination, despite the clarity of the violation of this important law, because under all of the circumstances here a prosecution would not promote public safety in the District of Columbia nor serve the best interests of the people of the District to whom this office owes its trust.”

Emily Miller at the Washington Times has followed this from the get go… Full article HERE. Thanks to her the whole dirty story is out there. And one more indication what is good for the goose doesn’t apply to the gander…
So do we now have the ‘Gregory’ defense??? Probably NOT for us peons…
One rule for me, and another for thee. Sheesh.
I wonder which one of the pigs he was in the book “Animal Farm” ?
I wager that the Public Defenders are going to try using the Gregory Defense for at least some of their clients. Why not? There’s plenty of documentation and it is a matter of public knowledge.

Laws . . . . little people . . . .
It’s gonna get worse . . .
What they have done, though is made it possible for someone else to sue and win for discrimination. Especially if said person is a minority or not wealthy. It’s too public for them to wiggle out of this one. They should lose that case, but again won’t because the same mentality in the court that gave us this decision will be in play. That said, I don’t want anyone to get prosecuted. I just want people to realize how obvious it is by this that the laws do not work and are ridiculous.
I suppose knowing the Attorney General for DC helps a bit, too…

What would it take for one of the elite like Gregory to get arrested? Actually shoot someone on camera…?
Rev- Yep… sigh
Matt- Good question!
LR1- Concur!
eia- Yeah… dammit
45er- Excellent points Sir!
Awel- I guess…

Are any of us really surprised?
Did anyone seriously think the outcome would be different?
WSF/ANdy- Nope and nope…
