Over the weekend, we came four votes away from the United States Senate giving our Constitutional rights over to the United Nations. In a 53-46 vote, the senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

The Statement of Purpose from the bill read:
To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S., and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry on all private guns and ammo.

Astonishingly, 46 of our United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power.

Here are the 46 senators that voted to give your rights to the U.N.

  1. Looks like Mark Warner has decided he no longer likes his perks. This level of stupid should hurt and we must make sure it does.

  2. I try, but getting rid of Sherrod Brown here in Ohio would take the Second Coming of George Washington. And it’d still be close!

Actually, we’re turning so Purple that we’ll be lucky to hold onto Portman the next-go-around.

  3. Rev- Yep, sad but true!

    45ACP- Agreed!!!!

    NC- Yep, bout that time!

    Les- Heard that! NOT good!!!

  4. I’m pleased neither of my senators from Georgia – both of whom I’ve written to on several occasions – are on your list….not that I expected them to be. Isn’t there something in their oath of office about protecting the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic? If the provisions of this treaty aren’t a direct assault on our 2A rights, I don’t know what is!

  5. every one of these are traitors and should be treated as such.

  6. *wow* Note sarcasm here…..All have “democrats” behind their name…and Sanders in Vermont is a socialist……

  7. Dirk- Excellent point!

    WSF- Yeah, right…

LL- If they can’t legislate, REGULATE…

    Fuzzy/Craneop/Tim- yep!

Laura- Y’all REALLY need to do something about them, like voting their asses OUT!

    Bob- Point!!!

  8. i assure you, no one in my family has voted for either of them. ever. doesn’t matter, they have enough sway in the right places that they’ll die in their positions.
