Boredom at zero dark 30…

What does one do at 0200 in the morning, when you can’t sleep???

Do stupid things with cameras…

I call this “Architectural Mashup”, it’s the view of the four adjacent buildings out my hotel window, and since I was wide awake, bored and didn’t have anything else to do, I played with it on the computer a bit…

Also in answer to the email as to whether or not I got a decent room, I ‘guess’ this classifies as a river view room…

If I lean out from the balcony, and look between the buildings, and the sun isn’t reflecting off the adjacent building…

Breakfast time, off to find FOOD… and COFFEEEEEEE…

  1. No danger of you getting seasick for viewing the river. Does the river run toward the north down there? I don’t care, just trying to think of something to say. Perhaps I need some coffee, too.

  2. Ed- LOL, if I could figure out how, I’d try it…

CP- LOL true dat, falling off the balcony maybe… It runs West actually…

  3. IT looks interesting there from a design standpoint. And remember you can’t play with the kangaroo’s. or take one home. And yes I am also looking for some coffee:)

  4. There ARE ‘roos there.

Just up the road, corner of Barrack Street and St George’s Terrace – a couple of huge bronze ones in front of the park next to the Concert Hall.

Don’t go look now though – it’s raining.

  5. Sendarius- I saw them yesterday… 🙂 Are you local? I just met up with Tarb for a coffee.

    • Am I local? I guess you could say that – right now (if you are at your hotel) I am about 20 km South of you down the Kwinana Freeway, wrangling a database recovery at a customer site.

Utility says 30 minutes to go on the transaction logs restore, then I need to forward recover.

      • Sendarius- Any plans for dinner??? I’m open tonight, or if you want to meet us (Julie et al) tomorrow night at Adelphia in the Hilton at 1800, you’re more than welcome.

  6. No plans, but I am not exactly dressed for anything special – jeans, t-shirt, and boots. They’re clean, but not sartorially elegant.

I’ll probably be another hour or more here, but if the timing is OK, and somewhere cheap and cheerful is alright, then give me a call. I’ve just sent my mobile number via your blog contact form.

  7. It always amazes me, when I look at photographs of some of the fantastic, inovative man-made structures in Australia, that the vast majority of the current indigenous populace sprung out of numerous boat-loads of grave-robbing Irish criminals.

  8. Toejam- Yep, and the one thing I like about Aussies (or one of the MANY things) is that they don’t hide it… Matter of fact, they are proud of their heritage!!!
