Got this from a friend who is involved in the whole MD shall issue fight…
The “State” deemed the criminal Abbott to now be OK, and maintains Woollard isn’t responsible enough to carry a firearm. How much more wrong can you get it.
For those who dont know, Ray Woollard was the guy who sued MD over their “may issue” CCW permit law. Woollard initially obtained a handgun carry permit after he was assaulted by an intruder in his home in 2002. The permit was renewed in 2005. At that time, the intruder had recently been released from prison, providing a “good and substantial reason” for Woollard to carry a firearm. In 2009, Woollard again sought to renew his permit so that he could carry a handgun for self defense. MSP Secretary Sheridan denied Woollard’s application, however, because Woollard failed to provide sufficient evidence “to support apprehended fear.”
Last night, roads in my neighborhood were closed and the police helicopter was searching the corn fields. A man beat his parents (who are in their 70’s) and then barricaded himself in the house. The parents and his estranged wife were able to escape to a neighbor. The mother was flown to Shock Trauma with serious injuries. The assailant eventually committed suicide.
Kinda makes me wonder how many MORE dead bodies the O’Malley administration needs to convince them…
Leftists love to arm their bodyguards. But never us.
Again we come to the inevitable conclusion that liberals are not persuaded by logic, facts, history, evidence or common sense. Only by what feels good.
well, he’s clearly no longer a threat, so that CCW is no longer needed.[/MD liberal mindset]
+1 All.
Opus- That they do…
Rev- Point!
Laura- Not now for sure… sigh…
WSF- Yep!
Dead bodies don’t count … unless they’re a darker hue than the shooter.
Ya, I had an extra helping of cynic flakes this morning.
