She started it…

Tam pulled a couple of classics out of her pocket HERE.

I can’t do that, but I DID grab the ones on top of the nightstand…

knivesTop to bottom-

CRKT M-16, Benchmade 154CM, Benchmade Mel Pardue, SOG Twitch II, little Victorinox pen knife…

I don’t carry the auto much, and none of these go in any bag that goes through the airline (for that I have a throwaway Kershaw Leek that I won’t miss and another old Victorinox)…

The CRKT when I’m in the woods, either of the Benchmades for a quick grab if I’m in casual clothes (the auto goes to the range every time I go)…

The SOG is kinda my dress knife… So that one is usually riding in the pocket when I’m in a coat and tie (sadly most days)…

What’s your EDC???

  1. Buck 110 0r a 112 in the pocket. A Buck 6″ blade in a sheath on the belt.

  2. I’d comment that I have been seeing a lot of your nightstand lately (on the blog, of course), but I wouldn’t want to say that in front of the people who come here. 🙂

  3. I’ve carried a Victorinox in my left pocket for over 20 years. The one I have now is the Super Tinker. Outstanding knife that gets used multiple times daily. The one in my right pocket gets switched out now and then but right now its a Case Sodbuster Jr.

  4. I carry a CS4 Juicer (in a pouch with a small lighter and steel striker and a Kershaw Skyline. Had a knife in my pocket since 2nd grade.

  5. Love that Benchmade Stryker! A large Stryker was my most oft-carried pocket knife for years. 🙂

  6. EDC is either a Leatherman Kick or a Spyderco Delica 4. Depends on what I need that day, work-wise.

  7. I own a few of those victorinox. I rotate through them as they get lost in the laundry.
Left my auto in a trashcan at Canadian Customs last summer. Unnecessarily as it turned out.

  8. Tam- Yep, I would cry if I lost that one… Been carrying it for years!

    Skip- Agree!

Rev- Why not carry both? Just curious…

    WSF- Cheater… 🙂

Grady- You don’t find the overlay to be too thick/bulky?

Ed- Yeah, I tend to lose those on a regular basis… sigh… And sorry you lost your auto for NO reason!

  9. A nice looking lock blade something that I bought at a gun show for less than $20. The locking mechanism is solid, and if I break it I’ll shrug and buy another one.

For civilized, dressed up occasions I have a small, Smith and Wesson lock blade that fits right in my pocket.

Dangerous neighborhood? I have a Gerber boot knife that’s sharp enough to shave with.

I also have a handgun which I carry concealed. I need to get a can or two of bear repellent and a nice sap.

  10. Buck 486, Victorinox Classic, and depending on circumstances either a Ruger LCP or Glock 17. Oh, and a free advertising ballpoint pen. Always have a pen. And a knife. Or two. And a hankie…
