Back in about three weeks, beer’s in the fridge, dog food’s in the pantry. The dog gets ‘cranky’ if he doesn’t get to chase squirrels twice a day. Dunno what he’ll do if he ever catches one…

In your book, you mention function checking a pistol in the story.
Just mentioning….. I recall doing that some time back with a S&W I was convinced had a light strike. I was rewarded with a pencil impaling my bedroom ceiling. I left it there as a reminder of stupid.
