It’s enough to make one wonder…

Veteran dies in the Albuquerque Veterans Affairs hospital cafeteria because he had to wait 15-20 minutes for an ambulance to be dispatched…

The kicker?  He was 500 yards from the ER in a different building…

  1. Ed- Got it fixed… I don’t know how to do previews on comments…LOL And yes coffee helps! I hadn’t seen ‘that’ particular one… dammit

  2. Where is that floral flag? That wouldn’t be Lompoc, CA, would it? I spent three semi-wonderful years in the flower seed capital of the world and one of the seed companies used to do an American flag planting every year in the way-back. It wasn’t quite as perfect as this one, though.

  3. “Ok, first the HTML doesn’t work and then it posts twice by itself. I need coffee.”

    You and me both.

I tried post a link to this from a different source earlier, but it looked like something about it pissed off Word Press. Sooo- let’s try this one—

Go to full screen and enjoy slide show.

If no joy, try the back door. Open browser and type “william coffey these are my credentials” into search bar.

  4. Hah! So my reply @ 12:16 gets posted in front of yours @ 7:18. Well, at least the link works.

  5. RHT- Yeah, this set of comments is screwed up, and I don’t know why… But those ‘credentials’ are the ones that say it ALL!

  6. I don’t understand why no one could help that vet. Sometimes common sense has to bend the rules, Dammit!
Beautiful flag, a friend’s son paints a large flag on a vacant lot near his house. Water is to dear to plant flowers, and people will donate the paint.

  7. Read somewhere that soldiers are more likely to die at home than be killed in battle; not sure of it’s true or if it speaks more for the low intensity of the recent scuffle, military doctors and armour or the quality of American drivers back in the Rodina, but I really wouldn’t be surprised.
