  1. Speaking of Americans:

    I was talking with a Korean gentleman yesterday. We were talking about the need to be proficient in multiple languages in today’s modern economy.

    He commented that a person who is proficient in the grammar, spelling and enunciation of two languages is called “bilingual”. Similarly, a person who can do the same with three languages is called “trilingual”. Then he asked me, do you know what one calls a person who is incapable of proper grammar, spelling or enunciation of even one language?

    An American.

    Ouch!

    Margi- Sure, if you consider NOT being able to speak even ONE language proficiently… Sigh…

  3. There are worse things than relying on air power for retaliation, but then you knew that. 🙂

    My units retaliation was (depending on distance-to-enemy) a couple of Ma Deuces, four 5″ guns, and an ASROC or two for good measure. It’s the surface Navy way: “too much is never enough”, right?

  4. The second breaks my heart. I’m not racist. I just know about the fight and the dream and how it has been squandered. There are so many nameless black people whose sandels Obama is not worthy to tie…
