I wonder…

I REALLY wonder where some people learned how to drive…

between the lines

Sigh…

I’m betting they never learned to color inside the lines either…

Of course the one on the right that started it had a DC plate, so no real surprise…

I wonder… — 15 Comments

  1. The other night, my mom and I went to church. She tried 3 times to back into a spot with no cars on either side. (If you don’t back in, you never get out.) First time…too far left. Second time…too far right. Third time…diagonally across both left and right lines.

By that time, I was laughing so hard I almost couldn’t get out of the car, but I told her “Three strikes and you’re out.” I put it in the middle of the space, straight between the lines on the first try.

  2. Washington DC has done very well during the tight years of the ObamaNation. The place is rolling in money (old paper) and maybe the residents feel entitled, as if they can park wherever they like. Obama has done that in a metaphorical sense for the past 6 years…

  3. The D.C. car may have started it, but the black Lexus didn’t have to match the previous angle. It just proves that most drivers are on auto-pilot most of the time, and pay no attention to what’s going on around them.

    It’s a wonder there aren’t MORE accidents.

  4. Pedi- Yeah, backing in IS an art…

    LL- Good point!

Rev- True! But knowing the APD parking nazis I’m betting all four of them had a ticket by the end of the two hours.

  5. There are some here that have decided that the lines are to be lined up with the middle of your truck, thereby taking two parking spaces…

  6. Dammit- Yeah, we see that here too. And SoCal is even worse with all those compact spaces. Hell, a NORMAL car won’t fit, much less a truck!

    • I drive my raptor and take up two full spaces (designed for a Nissan Leaf or a Toyota Prius) – – because I can.

  7. Glenn- They occasionally try…

    WSF- That too! 🙂

LL- LOL, why am I NOT surprised! 🙂

    • ha ha ha ha! That’s a good one! “Back in diagonal parking” Too much! And the lemmings will follow each other right off the cliff also. Too bad that doesn’t happen literally.

  8. I am unimpressed by anyone else’s parking woes (ie, the parking-clueless drivers who inspired the photo), as I drive an F-350 4-door -with- a long bed, and still manage to keep it between the lines.

On the plus side, I rarely have to deal with folks parking too close to me; as on the road, so goes the parking lot: he who has the most dents is king.
